i dont hate it. I just dont agree with it. I am really gratefull for what black people has fought for and achieved in our comunity, but every other culture has helped also. so i still do not get why should we celebrate a black history month. i mean they wanted to stop racism but by making a month for "black" people is pretty much being racist to every other race. i dont think there shoudl be a anything month. why not a "multiculture month" so everyone could feel proud of where they come from. i am not racist at all. i mean i have black family members. but im spanish. anyways, i dislike every other month that celebrates one culture. its very racist for every other culture.

I am a caucasian woman designing a brochure for a state's economic development alliance to take to Japan. I am shopping for stock photos of Japanese business people. How can one tell if you're using a Chinese, Korean, Phillapian, vs a Japanese person/persons in a photo (black and white or color)? I don't want to cause any discontent or angst for my client and their prospective relationship with the Japanese they will be visiting. THIS IS NOT MEANT TO BE A RACIST QUESTION. I will report any rude, racist remarks. I have the best of intentions.

I was asking this today. So do you think a lot of ppl have a self-identity or do they just follow the fads and 'norms'? I mean most ppl look the same and like the same things. I.E. ppl with shaggy hair and baggy pants most likely 'indie' music and weed.

I am in no way racist toward any ethnicity. It is not my intention to offend anyone, and I apologize in advance if I do.
I pose this simple question: why is it that African Americans file a law suit or claim discrimination, but when someone of Caucasian descent claims something very similar to that, many African Americans get mad at them? Another similar question: why can't a white male under 40 file a law suit for discrimination and actually WIN when it's plainly the case when any other minority or any woman or any man over 40 can file the same law suit in the same scenario and win?

It's insane. It's gotten to the point that if anyone asks a question regarding race they have to say something like "I'm not racist, I just want to know." The issue of racism has become the Salem Witch Trials of the modern USA.

I and countless peers are finding as generation Y infiltrates themselves more and more into the workforce that we have the misfortune of trying to communicate with these know it alls. It seems that every disscussion we have with 17-25 year olds ends in them condisendingly anwering questions with common sense as if we didn't know better. I get no answers from these people but common sense delivered in a manner that says "are you stupid, do I have to tell you something that is so simple". It's like they don't realize that most have a general knowledge base and Gen Y in their infinate wisdom answer all questions and discussions defensivley with comments or facts that are generally known to everyone. They walk off as if they had some sort of intelligent insight in which they provided some much needed knowledge to some imbicile when all they do is state the obvious. Having been born in '79 I find older people find this Gen Y characteristic as being "typical of the young". Comments?

Everyone - at least I thought this was the case - knows that we (Homo Sapiens) are a species. The term "race" is defined by the Merriam Webster online dictionary as "a family, tribe, people, or nation belonging to the same stock", "breed", "within a species." Scientific textbooks refer to humanity as a species, and there is no "species-ist" behavior or "specie-al" profiling. Can't they just admit that the title "human race" is a deliberate lie based on the emotional and cliche slogan of "there's only one race..." ?
