When will we live in harmony amongst all races? When will ignorant people see the light? If blacks and hispanics and asians...on and all would stop trusting in their flawed superiority complexes this world would be better and more complete. What makes one person or a group of ppl think that they can bring doen an entire ppl with bias, stereotypic perspectives and forgive mny loose language, Bull s h i t ? Will my daughter grow up in a racist world too? What has she done to deserve it? What have I done? It is only skin color! Why does society put everyone in a box? What the hell does racism accomplish but tear down the hearts of the innocent and pure children that have no idea why they are being called the n word and ******* and all that nonsense! Pls tell me. Everyone please pray to make it end. (tears) )0(

Don't they have anything better to do with their time? Everywhere they turn they're always looking to find: social inequality, class exploitation, oppression on the basis of gender, ethnicity, national origin, sexual preference, disability, and age, etc.

I guess if you constantly look for something hard enough, you will 'find' it. That's why theres tons of books on ghosts, the paranormal and ESP too.

...people who are only brief acquaintances; or in fact you don't know them at all; end their e-mails, texts etc with a kiss (x). It drives me nuts. It's the sort of thing I did when I was a 14 year old school girl. You wouldn't kiss them at the end of every conversation you have with them so why do it in a text?

I find women who do this sickeningly "girly" and men, well, frankly, just plain odd. Is it just me or does anyone else boil with fury at this? I guess it's the same as people who use inappropriate affectionisims like "love" or "dear" or "babe" grrrrrr!!!

(Cue irritating reponses wiith kisses and inappropriate affectionisims - yawn - how predictable!)

I am a young N.American that has lived in China for four years and most Chinese show nothing but reverence for the USA. One time I was in a small village of the local school started reciting the Declaration of Independence.
But when I talk to most Americans, I become upset that most still adopt a cold war mentality toward China. Remember, Nixon went ther ein 73, and that most Chinese are much more knowledgeable about the US than most Americans are about China. Just from my own experience...re: learning the language, understanding culture, etc.
Please no China bashing.

When you're a black woman? I know this one girl who is from an all white suburb, very pretty, first generation black woman and she says that she doesn't think racism really exists anymore. Mind you, this is before the Michael Richards comment that was so direct, so I don't know if she would agree. I at first felt bad because I grew up exactly the same with the same social identities, but have had many accounts of racism...blacks and whites...I'm not bitter or anything and I'm very privileged in many aspects...but I admit that people have been rude to me solely for skin color alone.

But do you think that she doesn't "see" racism or do you think some people actually go through without ever having to suffer?

I think todays artist keep it alive. We have included the word in movies and music for years. But the movies and music are all bringing down the African-American race as a whole. I watch TV and know what they are saying even though its dubbed out on BET. So my question is, does the black community keep it alive by saying it in their music and television? If you look deep into it they are keeping themselves opressed. I was watching a show about people with torrets syndrom, and this kid would blurt out the N word in public for no reason. He could not help this, it is a brain disorder. So, is it his fault that he says it, or ours for keeping the word alive?

Having spoken to my friends most of them feel guilt for something..kids staying at home working cookiing cleaning, better lover thinner fatter prettier. I'm even prone to it and beleive me I am not a conventioanl woman even if I do have a conventional life!!! Why do we still beleive all the c**p we are fed..why arent we more able to say no to the stereotypes forced upon us?
