I don't get it. So why do some non-blacks want the right to say the n-word so badly? Why can’t they just leave it alone? It really is the one thing that black people can do that non-blacks can’t and I guess for some non-black people, that gets to them. I have never heard a non-black person argue for the right to say any other racist term, the way they argue for the right to say the N-word. And cracker is not the equivalent of the N-word even though it is offensive. Cracker, Dark chocolate, vannilla puddin, yellow rice are about equivalent. Cracker is a food you can eat. The N-word is something you cannot eat and it's second or rather first meaning means a stupid and/or less intelligent person. White people where the first to use the word though, maybe they want to connect with there ancestors? I am black and I refuse to use any racial slur no matter how mad you make me, we have no choice of the race we are born.

why is it being called a racial incident?

Is it just me or does it seem that anything that happens to a non-white person that they don't like considered racist?

If you don't want to get shot by cops, don't resist arrest, don't run from them, and certainly do not try to run them over. I don't care what color you are, if you try to kill me and I have a gun in my hand I am going to defend myself.

And she's lived in the US with my Dad (who's American) and us children for about 20 years.

Anyway, all her social atmosphere/feelings deal with mainly Thailand. Her main, maybe only real involvement, in US culture is doing house-cleaning-related stuff. Otherwise, she's still very much into Thailand for the whole time, and watches Thai TV via satellite, reads Thai magazines, talks to her friends/relatives via the phone, etc.

I can see why and I feel sympathy for her situation in the US, since she isn't educated (didn't start/finish high school in Thailand) and doesn't share any American cultural aspect to her views/personality.

So anyway, I think that she's depressed here and would much rather be in Thailand among her own kind. My Dad is an attorney and could be willing to move there, as long as he finds a good job there teaching as a professor in a university, working for a multi-national corporation, etc.

Should my parents move to Thailand?

Having a point of view is one thing .And asking questions on skin colour ,race or religion .With the intention to learn .I have no problem with that .But everyday the relentless bombarding of racially motivated questions that people get away with baffles me..And what really gets me is the fact that you can ask something really really simple ,And get a violation warning .I've replied to emails from yahoo Q/A asking this but they do not reply.Makes you start to wonder what's on their agenda......Oh if i've spelt anything wrong that's not the issue

Do you act the same around people of other cultures, or do you act differently trying to "blend in"? Why come I never see O.G's from the hood meeting people from the country who were raised on a farm tending to the pigs and chickens. They never show these scenarios on Television. Whites dating blacks, Blacks hanging with Mexicans. Friendly Arabic peoples not always the terrorists, we need to have some diversity in our world. I'm tired of seeing the same old routine. Everybody's living in a box! What do you think?

after 9/11, racism has become more acceptable, and is aimed mainly at people of middle eastern descent. unfortunately, it seems the the american public as a whole cannot tell the difference between a race and a religion. those targeted are muslims and arabs, and so many others i don't even know. admittedly, i don't the difference, and i am here looking for someone who can explain who the attacks were led by (what race/religion were the men?). what are all the differences between these certain religions and races, because it's frustrating to see so many people accepting racism with open arms, but it's even more frustrating that even i don't fully know what's what. i would at least appreciate some really good, reliable sources that clearly explain our current situation. there are so many ambiguous terms like "hindus", "arabs", "muslims"...and there are so many middle eastern cultures, there's no way they can only be classified under so few terms. would you help me out, please?

I'm a skinhead from a working class. To start out, I am not a nazi, I am not racist, I am pro-worker, and anti-repression of any people. What has happened to the true skinheads? Not these nazi idiots. The true skinhead seems to be a dieing breed. Perhaps it's ignorance of other people? I'd love to hear other people's opinions about this. Personally, I think it's been diluted out due to the nazis and punks whom give it a bad name.

My gf has a black friend who's all into the fubu gangster crap and uses ebonics heavily. She asked if she could bring a few friends from work over to my party and I said sure. But when my friends and I get drunk, we put on David Allan Coe and the 'N' word flies alot. 'n*gger this, n*gger that, damn n*ggers, etc.' I don't see them going the whole night without saying 'n*gger' so what can I do to prevent her from bringing him without hurting her feelings or his?

As a TRUE member of the gothic subculture, I find that Hot Topic is only there to supply clothing to those stupid little poser tweens. I mean sure, it's okay to buy an accesory there every once in a while, but what's up with the pre-made outfits and it categorizing PUNK or GOTH? I mean, you can't just take something and say it is "punk" or "gothic" because part of what makes subcultures unique is that there can be so much variation in clothing, for instance most enjoy to make their own clothes/accesories. My point is, ever since they put the Hot Topic store here, all of a sudden these punks and goths ( so-called) have sprung up out of nowhere. The store just makes it so easy for wanna-be's to get a hold of "goth" stlyle, and this upsets me. Also people are getting a wrong impression on what gothism is, and they try to become something exotic they don't even understand; most of these posers can't even appreciate art or creativity, a large basis of gothism!
Anyone agree?

From what I see black women usually like black men more then Asian women like Asian men, white women like white men, and Latin women like Latin men. Does this mean that black men are just holding it down better then others.

Firstly, please understand that I herby mean no racism nor religious hatred, but I am becoming increasingly frustrated by the vast number of foreign immigrants that now reside in the UK - in particular the number of Polish citizens since the expansion of the European Union.
I live in a small town of around 7000 inhabitants and work in a local chain store. I don't think I'd be exaggerating by saying 25% of our customers are Poles. They are everywhere. Maybe the British government and monarchy should just abdicate and hand sovereignty of our land to Warsaw.
I am totally in support of anyone who may wish to visit our country for tourism or for work, but for 500,000+ Poles to emigrate from their homeland seems extreme. How would the Polish population react if 500,000 Brits decided to relocate to their country?
