Firstly, please understand that I herby mean no racism nor religious hatred, but I am becoming increasingly frustrated by the vast number of foreign immigrants that now reside in the UK - in particular the number of Polish citizens since the expansion of the European Union.
I live in a small town of around 7000 inhabitants and work in a local chain store. I don't think I'd be exaggerating by saying 25% of our customers are Poles. They are everywhere. Maybe the British government and monarchy should just abdicate and hand sovereignty of our land to Warsaw.
I am totally in support of anyone who may wish to visit our country for tourism or for work, but for 500,000+ Poles to emigrate from their homeland seems extreme. How would the Polish population react if 500,000 Brits decided to relocate to their country?

I live in a large city with a very high ethnic/immigrant population. I have grown up with people from all cultures and am pleased that my children don't recognise racial and religious differences. I am now way racist and shirk from saying anything because of the fear of being branded as such...
But...... enough is enough...
I work in a small town where the majority of people are racist and I hate their attitudes... but you can see the popularity of what they say growing...
I have concerns for the future.. I worry that it will be ok in the future to be openly racist and aggressive to minorities, as was acceptable in Nazi Germany...
All of our politicians, irrespective of political persussion must do something soon to stop the "immigration" issue becoming a negative issue upon which bigots can campaign and stand. It's a worry... but equally worrying is the fact that we really are being swamped.
I recently completed a canvass for the local Council by completing their electoral registers in a few wards. Iwas shocked at the number of nationalities represented: Poles, Czechs, Russians, Italians, French, Germans, Gambians, Ghanaians, Phillpinos, Burmese, Jamaican, Pakistani, Bangladeshi, Croatian, Indian, Chinese, Danish, Potugeese and Hungarian.
It came as a shock to find so many confined in such a small area. It was like a ghetto...
Really... it's time to act with sense and decency before more radical steps have to be taken.

Actually there is no reason why 500,000 Brits cannot emigrate to Poland, this E.U. immigration business works both ways. The difference being that compared to Poland our country is tiny in size, and 500,000 Brits would not want to go to Poland to live or work, unless they were very rich and could buy a mansion with a view.
Perhaps chain-stores are a good guide to the immigrant population in a town.My nearest supermarket is in a country market town, yet this year two whole sections of it have been allocated to Indian and Chinese food. To enable them to do this, they halved the size of the fresh fruit and vegetable section.

Theres particularly greater non english speaking human beings than some years in the past. and that i don't stay a in a significant city. particularly some the village and little cities on my path to artwork seem composed of in particular immigrant human beings. Hey yahoo!...??? If everyone has to be politically correct all the time, then what good is this forum? At all corners of the globe people are complaining and why shouldn't they? That is a human right. There is no racism here...JUST FACTS, or does yahoo not deal well with the truth? If you want to look at racism, look for the stuff that uses profane ways of speaking about different ethnicity's...don't attack them because they are honest and are looking for honest answers. If you think it does not matter that all these immigrants a flooding the country think again. They have brought the wage levels down which in essence means the indigenous population gets laid off and if you think they don't claim benefits also think again, not only do they get benefits but they also get child benefits for the children they left behind in Poland. The influx has brought our NHS to its knees and Aids and TB is now rife throuthout the land. This is not racist but the truthful facts, don't believe me then do your homework, then you will see the truth. Why does everybody start screaming racist when the immigrant profile is raised. It's racist when we are now told to go to Poland where there is plenty of work, you couldn't make it up.

Yes, you're alone in this. You claim no racism but your question stinks of it. Last job I had, there were some Poles there, they travelled an hour to and from work each day; they were lively, funny, friendly and they worked their arsis off. The more the merrier sez I.
You say 25% of your customers are Poles. Good for business, no? Your remarks about government and monarchy are just....plain....STUPID.

Same in the north of Scotland. I am amazed how tolerant we are, and just wonder when the services provided by tax payers will actually ground to a halt. The mind boggles as to how this will end, or even trigger riots/demonstrations. It is frightening.

No you are not alone, I agree with you but I must say the polish are not allowed to claim benefits and try hard with our language. They also work hard for the money they earn and I think other immigrants who do the complete opposite and have everything handed to them on a plate are more of a problem.

No I am fed up of spongers who leave school at 16, reproduce, never work a day in their lives and expect all us hardworking tax payers to fund them. Not Poles, or anyone else who comes here to do a decent days work.
