You may find my answer different, and unconventional, but my explanation is, that different types of Souls tend to inhabitate different geographical areas, some parts of the world lend more suitable grounds for more advanced Souls, than others.

The dog is, in spiritual terms, humans' closest relative.

A nation or cultural group that does not recognise the worth of this very special species, and violates human values in relation to animals to this incredible degree, in my opinion only demonstrates their level of a spiritual advancement. It is lower than that of the lowest of animals.

According to "Rational Spirituality" violence against a defenceless being is a form of ignorance.

I further believe that the South Korean attitude to animals is a best example of how wrong it is to talk collectively about "humanity", as such. In my personal opinion, dog killers are unfit to call themselves "human".

I just read about that on MSN and I swear to God my blood pressure is up to dangerous levels from reading that. I hope all the rotton bast ards involved in that and esp the jack a ss who gave the order and who has his brains so far up his a ss he obviously can't think straight anymore, GET that flu. Did you read the part about how the cats & dogs can't carry or spread the virus? Why aren't those jerks listening to the experts? I hope the Humane Society and esp Peta get involved here. I can't believe the stupidity on this planet. Does anyone know how they are going to kill them? Listen up people......they are NOT killiing them to eat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!They are killing them because they THINK they might spread the flu which they cannot do according to the scientists. This mass execution has NOTHING to do with eating them!

No, it's out of hunger. They eat them. Some people think cows are sacred. Those people must think we're disgusting for doing that. It's a matter of culture. If you grew up eating cats, you would think it's normal. Personally, I don't like cats, for any purpose.

It isn't ignorance, Korea may be one of the countries in the world that use cats and dogs for food.

While they are pets here, that is not the case everywhere.

no. i am not sure about koreans killing cats, but with dogs, it has been in their culture long before westerners came there and raised such a ruckus because they don't understand why it's so. remember that eastern culture is very different from western culture (obviously with a lot of dog lovers, no complaints about that though). you can't blame other people from being different.

your kinda slow actually..........if you eat cows and pork then cats and dogs are no different. Its there culture and im sure hindus think eating beef is a sign your ignorant

and if your one of those "im vegetarian and your all dumb disgusting sinners for eating meat"people then grow up its survival of the fittest, darwinism etc.maybe we dont need to eat meat to survive but so far we are the most superior life forms on earth and until another species comes along and starts making us into lunch we can eat whatever we want

No, its about a culture that simply believes that cats and dogs can be food. Some people in OUR culture have fish for pets and some people have pet pigs. There's nothing ignorant about it. Its just culture.

They happen to eat cats and dogs..
if you go to other countries you will find they eat horse, some
places they eat insects and bugs.
Just because we don't eat a particular animal doesn't
mean its ignorance, its the food they have eaten for generations.

why should they be ignorant? Your society kills cows and pigs, just because you humanise them by bringing cats and dogs in your home probably makes you the more ignorant one.
At least they eat them, surely its more ignorant to hunt buffalo or moose, just for fun?
