He is not a real comedian anyway. When comedians are doing standup do you think that everyone in the audience is going to like their show.? No. So someone said he wasn't funny. BOO HOO. A real comedian would have come back with a statement that was funny not hurtful.

I think it was horrible. Michael Richards obviously truly feels that way and probably speaks with his friends in private like that. Some say that alcohol brings out your true colors. May people just need to get angry and there it is. Sad would have been the day that the audience would have laughed at what he was doing. Regardless of what the audience was doing that was upsetting to him, it did not give him the right to belittle them that way. This is a good example of why we should all stick up for each other when it comes to rhetoric. His poor excuse for an apology on David Letterman was ridiculous. Seinfeld telling people not to laugh and "SHHHHHH," was ridiculous as well. His career is over and rightfully so. I bet the man celebrating his 26th Birthday at the comedy show had his birthday ruined and this probably brought up horrible feelings for a lot of people. What gives Michael Richards that right? If you become Preseident you know EVERYONE is going to make fun of you. If you become a teacher you know students are going to talk and interrupt you. If you are a stand up comedian you know there will time to time be people who you feel are disruptive. Michael Richards should have taken issue with the club for being so loud while ordering drinks or maybe they should order drinks in a different manner. Other performers have not gone off the way he did. I'm glad he was banned and there is NO excuse for what he said. It was an attack on African Americans adn Mexicans. Don't forget that upon entering the Club this group of many, Michael said "Oh the Blacks and Mexicans are here. So what goesa round comes around. Now he doens't have to worry about anyone interrupting him. All these balck leaders need to ignore him and not give him the time of day. he wasn't doing anything for the Black Community before and all of a sudden Jesse Jackson is meeting with him. Let's see if he calls Jesse Jackson the N word?

I know how this is going to sound bad but sometimes its easier for people to go to the lowest common denominator and for most that means playing the race card. However he has apologized not only to the man he insulted to to every black person.I honestly believe he is sorry.People make mistakes so does that mean nobody should be forgiven.I don't like the "N" word and will not tolerate anyone that says it in front of me.But the has said he is sorry countless times what else do you want him to do?

It just goes to show people that stupidity in the history of oppression in america still exists today. People try and say lets forget about what happened in the past but know people realize that racism is s till a burning flame. Things like this can never be forgotton or forgiven so stop trying to pretend that racism, oppression etc, did'nt or does'nt exist.

I don't think a silly apology is good enough because anyone can say they are sorry but for the black community i don't think we should rubb it in because he aready made himself look like a idiot in front of the whole america and now everyone just sees in him what really lies beyond.

I was stunned, this did not fit the picture I had of Michael Richards at all, his apologies are a beginning, but I believe it goes much deeper then that. One speaks ones truth in anger,
and must face this fact and try to make a change in once life. Going to all the black community leaders and apologizing is ridiculous, it is just good PR, and not to be taken seriously.

I think people should get over it. It didn't happen at a summit of the world powers, it did not change our position in the world market.
It was at a small comedy club, and if the drunk hecklers there were white it would not have even made the news.
People are way to sensitive over things that just don't matter.

I think it was a sad and unfortunate incident where true feelings are drawn out in a situation like that. I will continue to pray for him and hope that he finds peace with-in. It is sad that OUR FATHER created all of us yet we cannot truly accept one another as brothers and sisters.

I feel he was angry at a man who was going out of his way to be disruptive to his comedy routine and he spoke out of anger. Had the man been acting like an adult and not being disruptive the entire event would not have happened.

Maybe they will both learn a lesson and the first man will learn how to act in public.

a lot of people have said things they may later regret about people of different races, sexes, national origin, religion or whatever the case may be. he just happened to get caught on a video phone. big deal. he wasn't speaking for anyone in any official capacity - just himself. let it go already, get over it.
