How rude. She a Lady and deserve all the respect. No matter what people do, there always compassion to forgive and forget.
You can't please everyone, because people have different perspective...and we should look on the bright side and celebrate her achievements and what she has gave to the world. And she not a bird so she don't have feather and she live in a castle not a nest - get it right.

well she's not here to defend herself so it's probably not a good idea to talk about her like this, especially given some poor person has already threatened to report you for having an opinion, but I do agree with the poster who said she wasn't faithful to Charles and did come across as manipulative at times. Clearly it wasn't the happiest of marriages and it might have been better if he had been left alone to make his own choice of marriage partner. I think both of them made each other very miserable, but Charles came off worst because the media chose to support Diana

I wouldn't quite have put it like that, but I didn't like her, no. I did feel that she came across as a rather manipulative person. For example, she would often go to highly public places with William and Harry when they were children and then berate the press for not giving her privacy. Same goes for her charity work: she always had it well documented.
As for the "tart" question, she wasn't faithful to Charles (true, he is a repulsive man, but still!) but stayed with him, having affairs. Surely a less self-absorbed person would divorce him, rather than staying with him, presumably, for the money?
The lady got a big thumbs down from me, but it's just my opinion. I would never have wished anything bad on her.

As a basic statement, no she wasn't, but I agree that she quickly learned how to manipulate public opinion in her favour.
I do feel sorry for her in that she wasn't the brightest of people (by her own admission) but she was a young and impressionable girl overawed by the prospect of having her own prince. It was just that nobody took her aside and said words to the effect of "Now look here Diana, this is the deal...you get a prince...and all the trappings... Charles keeps his mistress... etc"
I also agree with the sentiments that the poor woman is dead and we should leave the long and wretched story alone, not least for the sake of her sons.

i think she was a naive young woman who had to toughen up to maintain her dignity and sanity..... i wish people would stop obsessing over her and let her rest in peace. it must be so difficult for her sons, the British press have never really let Diana rest.
