Why are white ppl. treating differently than black ppl. when they say the word "******", if ppl. want everyone to be equal shouldn't they react and treat the person who said the word the same way.

I think its stupid to think you can have reverse racism because of something that happened 150 years ago. Racism is wrong no matter what color your skin is. No offence, but there is not a black person alive today that went through slavery. I would just like them to stop acting like they did. Of course there is racism in the world today, but accept the fact that it is nothing like 1850. I am tired of everything being racist if something is not in a black mans favor. REAL CASE: I told someone I could not accept their card because it was not the same name on their D.L, "Yea I bet you would if I were white", and I catch two black girls trying to take money from a 12 year old white boy, , I stop them and they claim to the police that I was just being racist because I was keeping an eye on them when it happened. STOP PLAYING THE RACE CARD!. What does everyone else think, about anything to do with this. No, "We deserve to be, because of slavery", or reponces like whites are keeping us down.

If you went to a tea party and while having your tea a little boy came up to you, touched your arm so he would get your attention and then try to put buggas on you. The tea party was held on behalf of down syndrome children. (His mom ran up to us and said OH NO YOU CANT DO THAT AND TOOK HIM AWAY.

About an hour ago I was at Quiznos getting lunch, a kid and his mother walked in and started to order, as I sat there waiting for my friend to get her food I noticed this kid came off kind of feminine. I would say he was about five years old, anyways I told my friend and she said i was crazy, that he was to young to be able to tell. Well my question is, do you think you can tell when a kid is going to grow up to be homosexual?

Given, it is wrong to be racist inthe first place.
However, I have noticed that when people make these racist comments about one another, the majority of the time they focus on the women and children and not the men.

I find it very interesting.
Why the women and children?

A friend of mine mentioned the term CPT when I told him about going to a birthday party for one of my son's school friends (an African American). The party, according to the invitation, was to start at 2:00. But the host and birthday boy didn't show up until about 2:30, and guests drifted in over an hour late. And no one acted like anything was up. What's up with that? Is this a cultural thing?

these are factors which all help shape who we are and determine the type of people we become. therefore discuss the disadvantages of lacking all or some of these catagories and why each one of them- age, race, sexuality, religion, nationality are so important to us as human beings.

and i'd also pose another question: 'what does the word difference mean to you?' do you like myself, see it as a positive way of labelling individuals or the exact opposite?

the most imaginative and original answer wins

Recently, I had a new neighbor move in next door to me. I'm not prejudiced or anything, but my new neighbor is a little person who's about 3 feet tall.

So, I saw him tending to his garden the other day, and I went out and introduced myself to welcome him to the neighborhood.

I wanted to make him feel comfortable so I asked him about himself. I asked him about his job and then I asked him if he was good at gardening because he was a Gnome -- (or a Gnome-American), and if it was a tradition that had been past down to him.

I think I may have offended him, so now I'm wondering why ... I'm not sure if he's ashamed of his heritage and doesn't like to talk about it. I'd like to ask him more questions, like about when they wear the red hats. Are you not supposed to ask little people about their ancestors (I'm pretty sure they're descended from gnomes). I don't know why they wouldn't want to talk about it -- I'm Irish-American and like to talk about Irish food and drink if asked.

I am a 33-year-old Hearing person. I am going to school to become a Social Worker and I am taking ASL as a foreign language.

I am thankfully having many of my misconceptions about Deaf Culture shattered and learning a whole lot more than just sign language.

I am appalled at the state of education for Deaf people, attitudes of Non-Deaf people, and many other things I am learning, which I never knew existed. I am personally ashamed that I never knew most of this existed.

If you are Deaf, what are your personal thoughts about Hearing people and their thoughts, attitudes, and misconceptions about Deaf Culture?

The Pope have already said that he is "deeply sorry" about his comments about Islam, and he really do not mean it. I believe that the Pope is deeply sincere with his apology. Muslims killed a NUN, burned churches, shoot & killed Christians sporadically because of this comments and no Christians retaliate against Muslims. But now, Muslims are vowing to wage WAR against all "cross worshippers". If all Christians can not take this anymore, and WAR is inevitable between Christians and Muslims, I would say that ALL Muslims are responsible because you did not do anything to prevent this kind of provocation. Muslims will not do anything unless they were the one who is being harm.
