ok there is this really pretty girl at my school...she is older i think..all i know is her name and she going to be a programmer..we have a lab and sometimes when we are in lab she sits next to me even if there is like 50 other computers open..she did this more then once..(this is a trip) i went to vegas with some of my boys and i know she knew i was going b-cuz i was talking bout it in lab and i know she over heard me..then during that weekend in vegas i seen her in a club..i didnt talk to her at all...but when i went back to school i asked her if that was her and she said ..yes..thats it i never said nothing else to her...im shy but man i want to get to know her bad...i would never say this but i think she is out of my league..IS SHE FEELING ME SITTING NEXT TO ME IN LAB OR JUST A COINCIDENCE????what do i do?????? i also heard she got a man...what do i do???

Why do blacks insist upon being called "African American" when they were born here? I was born here and I'm just as proud of my heritage as they are. I have slavery in my bloodlines, too. My lineage is Dutch and Irish, but I don't call myself a "Dutch American" or "Irish American"? Why not refer to yourself for what you are - an AMERICAN!!!

During lunch time i see A LOT of white and other racist in Mexican restaurants, eating our food and drinking our drinks. so are the people that are in their the ones that Love the Hispanic culture/Mexican, or do they just love our food? I hear racial comments toward Hispanics, but yet if I'm out, i get hit on by all other races like Whites, Blacks, Asians, and i'm almost sure these same men hate our Mexican men, or at leas make ugly comments about them, so why do they think A Hispanic Women is any different.

I come from Florida in America, and I find that a lot of my fellow youth there do drugs to escape the boredum we're so commenly faced with. It's a new experience, it's somthing to do, when all other things you'd be faced with are video games, and television. Night clubs close at two PM, and everything requires a large driving distance to get to. I find that my friends and I smoke becasue it is social, and a lot easier to deal with bordum when stoned. Myself, being a drug user ask, why should my government try to control what I put into my own body, and do you folks here in the UK find this just?

I mean come on now you eaither moved here the right way or the wrong way but eather way you came to our home on your own so why do we have to change our language to appease you so you can understand face it you live in america now learn to speak our language or go back to where your own people understand what you are saying cause face it if you want to be an american be on fully not only half of one and not learn our language. Oh yea and become a sitizen and stop using our tax payers money to take care of you and stop having so many kids if you can't support them with out being on walfare. My anthropology professor (who is black) told the class that, unfortunately, the contribution of Whites and Asians in terms of scientific and technological advancement, and in political, philosophical thought is overwhelming compared to black achievement.

In fact, he claims that Whites and Asians have contributed about 90%, while black is less than 2%. For example, almost every single household appliance in our houses have been invented by white or Asian people. Most of the social systems such as democracy have also been invented and refined by these races.
Is this true?

What are some scientific or technological things that blacks in Africa or America have invented?

Our t-shirts say I love being Black ( http://www.ilovebeingblack.com ). Most black people love them. Some white people seem to think these shirts cause division between whites and blacks. Silly me, I thought it was slavery or racism or the embedded myth of white supremacy or how the people at the top want everyone else to focus on small entanglements like this.
Let me be clear, these shirts are created by black people, for black people. These shirts are meant to express the love for your blackness because it has been diminished in so many of us due to: negative images in the media, the destruction of the black family structure, violence in our communities, or the many traps laid out for us.
Why do these same white people see nothing wrong with the shirts that say 'everyone loves a jewish girl' or 'blondes just do it better' or everyone loves an irish girl' or 'kiss me i'm italian'??

I'd like for ALL ethnicities to respond, let me know if you find something negative about the shirts..

Personally, it grieves me.

Given some don't believe in God, why would a person make such cutting and disrespectful remarks, period ?

I'm 100% Persian, but I get confused for being Latina or recently Indian (not Native, but Indian from Asia). But. the craziest one was when some guy said I look like a light-skinned African American person!!! NOt that I would mind looking like that, but I don't...I have a bit of a tan, but I don't look African American whatsoever! HaHa! What about you???
