Yes, lacto-vegetarians do. Vegans don't.

Cheese that is made with animal rennet *does* involve killing, and I'm trying to avoid it now, even though I'm a veggie for health rather than ethical reasons.

I prefer English cheese because it not only tastes really good, but much of it is labeled "suitable for vegetarians."

There are many different kinds of vegetarians.
Lacto/Ovo vegetarians eat milk products like cheese, and eggs. Fruitarians eat mostly fruits, berries and nuts. Other vegetarians eat fruits, vegetable, grains, nuts, berries etc. but no animals or any of their by-products like cheese and eggs. Vegetarianism is an individuals choice, not a doctrine. You make the decision about what you are going to eat.
I have been a vegetarian all my life. I eat mostly fruits, nuts and grains, vegetabels and the odd bit of cheese now and then and even the odd bit of fish.
One does not need to eat animals or their by-products to stay healthy. In fact it is a proven fact that those who do not eat meat or animal by-products live a healthier and longer life than those who do.

You dont kill a cow to get the milk. Vegians don't eat meat or any food that comes from an animal (like milk, cheese, yogurt even jello *gelitan is make from ground up horse/cow hooves)

Vegitarians can and do drink milk and the foods made from it like cheese

Some do--depends on whether they're vegans or vegetarians.
Vegans consume no animal products at all.
Vegetarians eat milk and dairy products, including eggs. Just no meat.

Vegetarians do, vegans don't. If you are wondering whether or not you should, check out http://dumpdairy.com

** a main reason NOT to drink milk is that it's actually meaner than killing the cow. A cow should only produce enough milk for her calf. She is injected with hormones and forced to make LOTS more... The cow suffers, and the milk is full of puss and growth hormones.

Milk was designed for someone with four stomachs who WANTED to gain hundreds of pounds in their first year. Think about it.

I met a vegetarian who only ate tuna at a party, she hated the idea of eating meat, I told her that Tuna drowns for 2 days in a net and she got so upset she gave it up.

Vegans are silly animals, and vegetarians aren't much better.

Yes, vegetarians do, but vegans do not. Vegans avoid all animal meats and animal bi-products
