Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender - March 2007

I'm 19 and a female and every day i wants to be bisexual.but I'm straight and i was drunk tonight and i looked at some girls and i still wished that i that i was bi and i think I have lost a bit of interest in guys in general like i'm still able to crush on them but i feel a bit lost of interest in them in general and i dont know whats wrong with me its just that i think so much about women that guys dont seem to mean as much to me any more and at first i thought it was cause i have some problems that im dealing with and would like to not go looking for a boyfriend for a while but now its seems like may be theres more to it then that. whats wrong with me?

Why would our neighbor Mexico, one of the most conservative Catholic countries out there; ever legalize civil unions? This all doesn't make any sense. It was just legalized last friday. Not that I disagree with it, but it comes at such a big shock to many people. No offense but in my experience Mexicans can be the most homophobic people out there.

I am 34 and gay. I recently came out to my second cousin who is 19 about a month ago. The rest of my family does not know yet. I just moved to this new city and had to stay at my Aunts house 2 months until I got a place of my own. I did and I live 3 miles from her now. In the time I was there I fell for him(my second cousin) who is living with her. She would be his grandmother and my aunt. He promised he would keep my secret. I told him because I thought he was gay also. I am sure he is closeted, but he would not volunteer telling me. Its none of my business anyway. The thing is I have written him this letter telling him my true feelings but have not given it to him to read yet. I am afraid he will flip out if I do, but can't stand to suffer in silence like this. Its not like I can get him out of my life, I have to see him every time she wants me to come visit her. I have recently brought him a lot of nice gifts to woo him. This is driving me crazy. What should I do about this guy???

The character is so well fleshed out and detailed and "real" that you feel empowered by them? They help you realize your potential as a human being? Is media going backward or forward in showing gay characters?

I just had a blind date and the guy was really nice.

Only problem, he's not at all my type or what I'm looking for. What's the best way to tell him I'm not interested while stopping him from getting really really hurt and offended?

I'll prolly tell him over email and suggest that we'd be much better as friends (he'd still be fun to go out dancing with or grab a coffee with as friends). Yeesh, did I just answer my own question?

I am just out for about 1 month now...but to one person only, my second cousin. He promised me he will keep my secret. The thing is that when I moved to this new city 4 months ago, I had to stay in my Aunts home for a couple of months. He lives there with her. In that time I fell for him. I am in a situation where I have fallen for my second cousin. I know this is sick to most people, but oh well... So...heres the thing. I am 15 years older than he is and have just come out to only him. I don't know how to tell him I want him really bad. I am pretty sure he is gay to. I can not stop thinking about him at all. Some people say yes but alot of people say that that bi people are only confused and they need to choose. They just dont know it. It pisses me off sometimes because the people that say it that i know are straight-how do they know? So tell me what do you think. And if you are going to say something nasty about gay or bi people keep your mouth shut, thoughts to yourself and pass this question by because i dont want to hear it.
