So are demons.

These are "The signs of the times". It's called 'unnatural love' in The Bible. This was predicted thousands of years ago. It's a prelude to The Rapture of The Holy Spirit filled Church. Yes, people care about it. They care about getting out of here, and leaving all of the unnatural lovers behind to face the seven years of tribulation. Literally, hell on earth.

God ~always~ wins!!

There is some research out there on animal species where homosexuality occurs naturally that seem to indicate the rate of homosexuality goes up as the population density does. This would be very adaptive if true.

Additionally, with a combination of being able to support themselves financially (especially lesbians) and have some protection from losing their jobs or other benefits if they do come out, many that would have otherwise remained closeted are more likely to come out.

For the most part, open homosexuals are harmless to society (unless you ask the Christians) and often contribute more to society economically than straight people because the number of children homosexuals are supporting is significantly smaller.

As to a "birth defect", the numbers and familial patters are a little more indicative of something either adaptive or connected closely to something adaptive. And, before you argue that not procreating is a defect, you have to get over the assumption that every human should and has a duty to reproduce...

Homosexuals do not threaten anyone other than those who believe in God or those who believe they know what God is (based on religious doctrine).

Homosexuals are not a threat to society (only traditionalism), they do not steal, rape, murder, or torture others; homosexuals are simply attracted to the same gender, nothing more. Homosexuals are not bad people because of who they find attractive, they are only deemed bad people because an UNVALIDATED BOOK (the bible) says so.

Most people don't care that homosexuals "are increasing by leaps and bounds," because most people have their own lives and aren't worried about the lives of others.

and ...
I love when people try to give "gay stats" like they can actually estimate the true number of gay people, the true number of people who have "homosexually oriented thoughts or behaviors."

here's a reality check for all you fools who say "1% of the population is gay." or "99% of the population is heterosexual." non-heterosexuality (i.e. homosexuality, bisexuality, asexuality) can be AND is hidden by the population because of today's cultural standards.

here are some unbiased sources that give cultural comparisons. These differences show that homosexuality rates and ideas throughout different cultures and times are not all the same.

it is not proliferating by any means. It is just now more acceptable in society to be a homosexual. In some countries that are not as accepting as we are, homosexuals marry people of the opposite sex and then have same sex afairs during their marriage. Honey, it's not taking over our world, we are just letting people be who they are. Nothing wrong with that. I bet you would be asking a different question if the norm was homosexuality and you were heterosexual

We are not proliferating, you just here about us more. Why do you care anyway. I could say the same about heterosexuals, judging by how the world's population seems to explode every year.

They are not increasing. It is because society has become more tolerant more of them are coming out into the open.

I don't think it is, it is simply coming out into the open...
Homosexuality is a birth defect..
Why would this particular defect be increasing ?

No. The percentage remains the same. People are simply not as closeted about their sexuality as they once were.

They are less than 1% of the population. They try to make you think there are a lot more, but less than 1% is it.
