If you have to ask a question like this one you don't sound like a person the "boy" should be interested in talking to anyway.

If your weak minded enough to believe what everyone says about the guys you like, then he's better off without you. Because even if you decide to ask him out, AND he says he's straight, you may be weak minded enough to never truly believe him, and instead, always question him to yourself.
This proves the existance of female homophobia thats so bad that they even think certain straight people are gay just on sheer gossip. And some women wonder why they can't find Mr. Right.

In the first place you shouldn't believe most of the things you hear people say about others. Often times people who are "saving" themselves for the right person are ridiculed by others and accused of being gay. I wouldn't believe that about somebody unless I got to know them well enough that they tell me they are gay. If he admitted to being gay, and you really like him, then you shouldn't "out" him just to make him look bad, but let him do it in his own time.

You need to find out if he is really gay. If he is and you dont think you can handle it because you adore him so much and it makes you sad to see him with someone else you can end the friendship because it hurts too much. Iv been in your situation, it sucks.

i agree that you shouldnt listen to what other people area saying! If he is gay than he's gay. But just becasue other people say he is gay doesnt mean he is.
I think the best way to find out would be to make sure he knows that you support gay rights. than if he is gay he prob wont be to scared to tell you.

Do YOU think he's gay?
Forget what everyone else is saying and focus on him. If you want to know, ask him (nicely and politely, of course).
Don't operate off of hearsay and rumors. If he is gay, but you still enjoy his company, by all means, keep talking to him!

Just because other people tell you that, doesn't make it true. Why don't you ask him? Or even just ask him out?
