I'm gay and I've got this college best buddy+roommate. I didn't tell him that I'm gay but I think I've given enough hints to indicate that (I think he still doesn't know because I'm kinda macho on the outside). I'm not sure whether he's gay or not. He used to have girlfriends (but not now) and so did I. I notice he likes to check out hunks (those in the mags and of course me) but he likes to check out girls too (though he seems to like hunks more). When we're together alone, he always likes to cuddle me, touch my body and carass me. But if I carass him back too intimately, he would stop me and say he's straight. I always jokingly say that he's not straight and he always sarcastically "admits to it". Because we hang out together almost everytime, and when people ask whether we're good friends, he would reply that "we're gay buddies".

I do not at all desire him as my boyfriend. Even if he's gay, I won't stead with him. But just curious is there a faint possibility that he's a gay?

What are the signs to look for if you suspect a a young man (nearly 20) of being bisexual or gay?

That is to tell if a guy is gay. It terribly confusing because one day he says or does something which makes me think he may be gay but the next day he look at me in a way that almost no other straight guy ever has. (i.e. our eyes meet while conversating for a period that is longer than usual he does not look away for a good 30 seconds or so and I blush and absolutely feel butterflies). He usually ends the long stare with a gentle smile that makes me want him even more. Once the staring got very intense where toward the end his eyes circled around my face and landed back into my eyes and his final impression was unbeliavable provoking.
On the othe hand, he wears dark wash Levi''s jeans and his rear end is perfectly attractive as his overall physique (athletic and very well put together). His hair is usually done (not with hair jell) but with a texturizing creme, wears pastel colored shirts as in light green, and orange which looks very nice.
I need a sure way to find out if he;s gay

I have always wondered this. Wouldn't they be scared that one of the other people in another couple might try to steal their man/woman? Whats your take on it? Do you and your partner hang out with other gay couples?

As I read through the various questions and answers, I'm appalled at the lack of basic English skills. I do realize this is a multinational site, so I try to be a bit forgiving, but it appears no one cares that their written language skills are as important as verbal language skills when it comes to representing our community. Or am I just a snob?

well, im not open yet. it's only that they have some suspicions. as i see, my sister does not want me to be gay. even though i'm not telling her nor anyone i know she thinks of it. she's very anti-gay! i hate that! I don't want to ruin my relationship w/ her and i don't want to ruin who i am! one time, she asked me if that classmate of mine she met the other time w/ me is gay (w/c is true), then i just told her ... "maybe". she asked why don't i ask him, then i just responded--- its not appropriate. she thinks maybe having friends w/ gay people is bad. maybe she thinks they are bad influence. another time, she told me that she has a lesbian friend and she wants me to have relationship w/ that girl. maybe she thinks that she could change us both if that happens. i just hate that! she cant change us! she doesnt need to comment such things... she should just mind her own business!!!! I understand that she cares for me (often) but she also needs to understand that i am who i am!

This could be a two parter...
The term "Gay" has been accepted as "politically correct" over the years to describe a "Lesbian" or "Homosexual" individuals.
In 20+ years, will it become offensive sort or like African Americans have changed the term to describe their skin color over the years?
