Oooooo i had a problem like this when i were with a Past Girlfriend.. although it took me to Kiss another Girl Behind her back to realise that i couldn't stay in the relationship no longer.. Of course i am not suggesting you should do that as thats definatly the wrong way to approach it.. I think you should carry on as you are, but to try and forget and lose touch with this other person, that might be hard but thats what you can do for starters.. If you find that this is totally harder than you expected why don't you see if you can have a Chat with Karl, maybe talk about why you feel like this and what could be done to save the relationship if that's what you want! Or even chat with the other Guy.. tell him you want a bit of breathing space so you can sort yourself out and decide what you really want.. If this other Guy really likes you he will wait, but he will also understand if don't choose to go any further with him.. :)

Perhaps you should consider polyamory if you love both.

Most people, because of the way society views it, assume that you can only fall in love, romantically, with only one person at a time. This is something that isn't true for some people.

I'm one of those people. My last relationship was with my ex-bf and ex-gf. We all loved each other and were together for a long time.

Poly relationships are more difficult than mono relationships. A lot more communication is needed and honesty, brutal honesty, is an absolute must. That doesn't even cover the social issues you will face. Polyamorous folk are looked down on and discriminated against much more openly than gay/lesbian/bisexual and even more than the transgendered, though with less risk of violence. No companies have anti-discrimination policies about us and it will be harder for your friends and families to accept. Most poly folk stay in the closet with most of their friends and family. I have friends in a Quad (four people together) who are only out to other poly folks and a few family members. They all live together and have been for a while now. They have 10 kids (which is mind-boggling all by itself, IMO). They are only out to the kids that are 14 and older (mainly because those kids asked a lot of pointed questions).

Hmm.. if u cant be faithful and loyal to the current one u are with then dont do it at all, esp if can see him as ur future husband. U dont wanna risk losing a good thing. Either do it right or dont do it at all! Good luck!

How can your feelings be stronger than you? They don't have a life separate from you. That's just a cop out.
