If your friend is having intimacy with same-sex partners, then your friend is gay. It has nothing to do with whether or not you ever saw your friend attracted to someone. Don't be "worried." So what if your friend might be gay - it won't affect anyone's life. I also believe that school is for education - it should not be used for a pick-up spot that some people do. If you are interested in your friend, then let your friend know you have feelings!! See what happens. The worst that can happen is that your friend could say he/she's not interested, and then you meet someone else to ask out.

No. Gay is not defined as the lack of an opposite sex crush or date, but rather the presence of a same-sex crush or date.

There are lots of people who don't date or have apparent likes during high school, but that doesn't make them necessarily gay.

Hope that helps.

I wouldn't call them "gay" my child, he/she may simply not be ready or willing for a relationship with another person. My cousin was like that, and at 42 is still like that. She chooses to live her life alone. She has friendships, but no relationships and in her ow words "has never felt the need for one". Be there for your friend before trying to "be with" them and in the meantime find out where he/she stands before you try and make any move. Blessings.

No not at all. Many people finish High School without liking someone of the opposite or same sex.

They either went to a school that had all the same sex as your friend did and did not have the opportunity.

Or - they went to a school that really had a lot of ugly folks there and they were not worth dating!

Yea he or she probably would be called gay and its really a shame because maybe he or she is more concerned with ACADEMICS instead of dating.

Why is it any concern of yours anyway? Maybe worry about something more constructive.

What's there to be worried about. He will know if he's gay. If you're a true friend, then what does it matter.

I don't think that is enough reason to assume someone is gay. why don't you ask him/her and get it over with. I don't see why you are worried though, nothing wrong with being gay so no reason to worry.

Not necessarily. Maybe he's shy. Maybe there's no one in high school that he likes enough to ask on a date.

why don't you just ask the person out if thats the case. I believe you are more concern with this persons sexuality even though you say you want to go out with him/her.
