New CDC study finds high rates of infection among young gay and bisexual men

As the agency recounted the tremendous toll AIDS has had, CDC released new data showing that 4.4 percent of young men who have sex with men (MSM), 23-29 years of age--and 14.7 percent of African-American MSM in this age group--were infected annually in a six-city study conducted between 1998 and 2000. This high rate of new infections, combined with recent increases in STDs and risk behavior among MSM, suggests that HIV incidence may be increasing in this population, adding to what has become a major crisis 20 years into the AIDS epidemic.

My boyfriend and I have been dating for over two years. We've talked about how we both agree we want to spend the rest of our lives together. I was thinking of asking him to get married, have a commitment ceremony, or whatever you would like to call it. We're going on a trip later this month, and I was thinking of asking him then. I'm not sure how I should ask him. Should I get a ring? What should I say? Anything original and romantic is appreciated.

I was at my friend's house after smoking weed and we were fooling around and started making out. I'm bi, but I don't know if she is. How should I talk to her about this? I'm going back to school tomorrow, and don't know how to handle this situation!

What are the proven negative spiritual, social, psychological and health affects of homosexuality upon children according to the following article links?
The APA says homosexuality is disorder, that is before homosexuals became a part of APA which is equivalent to the drunks running the drying out clinic.
Medical associations say it should be classified a disorder based upon the addictive negative consequences which often takes lives of men at early ages cutting their lives short by as much as 40%.
Drug usage is admittedly a problem even amongst gays. This creates further health issues. They are pushing for legalized drugs in America. Just what our children need?
Children of homosexuals are often molested by a partner of their parents (much like step-children can be by a hetero step-father granted), and enticed with drugs like Jesse Dirkhising was.

I've been dating a guy for over a month. We've gone out on a few dates and talked over the phone and online. We were initially attracted to each other physically, but I don't feel as if we know each other well. I have suggested things to do to get to know him more, but It seems as if his is too busy or he has other plans. He says he is interested but he wants to take it slow. He is the kind of guy who dates one person at a time, which I respect. I really like the guy but I am wondering how long I should wait for him to figure out if he is ready for a relationship? and what is the consensus on dating more than one person?

Since the only option for gays according to strict Christians is for them to be celibate, can you honestly say that you would not think it strange or honestly say you wouldn't make fun of them if they were 50 years old and a virgin? What other option do you give them? Be honest. I'm sick of these hypocritical people who wouldn't be willing to be celibate themselves had they also had no choice in their sexual orientation. Seems like you can dish it out, but you can't take it.

I am a 18 years old college freshman. I go to a private HBCU and I am a lesbian. My mom has paid for everything I have so far and says that as long as she is paying, I have to do what she says. She is really noe ok with my being gay. She made me cut off my mohawk and take out my eyebrow piercing. She has paid for my car(2006 impala) and my college education which cost about 20,000 per year and she got my twin sister and I an apatrment. Next fall, I plan on going to a state school in another city. I really have no idea how I am going to be able to make it on my own. I was thinking about joining the National Guard so I could have money for college and I think it will make me a stronger person and I want my mom to see that I can do things on my own. Does anyone have any adivce on if I should join the national guard. Is there any alternatives and taking out loans are not an option. I want to go to a new city and be able to make it and not have to ask my mom for help.

I came out to my dad not that long ago that I'm bi. He was pretty quiet about the entire situation. I'm afraid he's silently rejecting me. How can I tell if he's really accepted me and what should I do if he hasn't. Also, I haven't told my mom. What should I do if he tells her without my knowledge because I don't think I'll come out to her in the near future?

I have had only one gay experience (two if you include mutual masturbation with another guy) and I really, really want to hook up with a young hottie before I turn 25. Ideally, I would prefer to have a relationship with another bi male on the down-low, but it is so hard to figure out who is gay, bi, straight, whatever. Thus, I am planning to go to a gay bar and hope that nobody sees me.

I do have a few concerns.

Although I am bisexual, I have always been reluctant to go to a gay bar or district in my city because I wish to maintain my heterosexual image (I have been to gay bars in other cities, however, since no one knew me there). I also find only 5-10% of guys aged 16-25 attractive, and after that age, there is an inverse relationship between age and attractiveness (meaning they get less attractive as they get older, obviously, and the same holds true for females).

I have often wondered about this. I refuse to believe that some one would CHOOSE to be something so repulsive, so what? Other than the obvious abuse as a child, what makes a normal human being a degenerate? Are they born that way?

I do not consider myself to be totally gay. I like girls, however there were like a few guys in my dorms last semester that I was sexually attracted to. How gay does this make me? I am also infatuated with the phallus and am always curious as to how much other guys are packing. Is this normal for straight people?

I know we have had Will & Grace, but this show would be a step further. The show would center around a married gay couple raising one or more adopted children as their own. The other characters would for the most part treat their situation as completely normal with the exception of a few bigots who do not approve of the situation. This show would be groundbreaking in that it would be the first show in which a gay couple is married and living in a committed relationship. (Correct me if I'm wrong). Yes, this show would be controversial, but think of all of the other controversial shows that have been on tv, some of them wouldn't even be able to air today. (e.g. All In The Family). I think it is about time we showed America that it is possible for two men or women to be in a committed, loving relationship and have the ability to raise normal, happy, and healthy children. It is time.
