I have always wondered to those of you that are gay, Do you believe that you were born this way? I honestly do not judge or care how others choose to live, I'm only curious because I have two brothers (out of 3) that are gay, but it's not discussed in my family so I think they'd be uncomfortable with me bringing it up to them. Only one of them has came out, the other one never has. They are both in their late 40's, We share the same father and when our father died we didn't see each other except for every 3/4 years or so, I was only 5 when he died and they were adults so they were already gone from home when our Dad passed away.

I'm straight. I am a Catholic and I am religious.
My sister is bisexual and her girlfriend is a lesbian.

Everyone gets mad at me and says I'm being stupid about their orientation. But I was raised to believe that being gay was wrong.

I think it really is wrong and God does not accept it.

But I'm kind of letting it happen.
She like makes out with her but no sexual connection...yet =[
My parents dont know but my dad suspects it.

I have one good friend and she's a catholic just like me and she is against it too- we are the only ones that think it is disrespectful.

her girlfriend says "i dont believe in God. I cant wait to burn in hell. I'll tel the Devil you said hi." and such. She has no religion, and her family is Catholic but they do not practice it as much as my family does.

My sister is raised a catholic but leans towards agnositic stuff.

Her gf has leaned her that way.
She recieved the Body of Christ which I think is bad.

1. If someone gets kicks and likes transexual and transvestite porn dvds and websites?

2. If someone is planning on going to another country specially to 'sleep' with a transexual?

My buddy has has birds in the past, but he is telling me about how great all this transexual stuff is. I think he is queer - this is not normal hetro is it? Is this person turning queer?

Why is it so easy to expect your lover to be faithful and not look at another, even think or dream of another but then..for yourself..its not to hard to take a passing glance at the cute guy/gal walking by..smile at a flirting stewardes/gym instructor..maybe even conversate innocently because you know it won't lead to anything..until she/he give you their number..which you quickly stash away..now tell me why was it easy for you but a big NO NO for your partner?

I'm a gay male living in San Francisco, and I know SF is not like any other city, but I've lived in other queer communities and there's a commonality within every city I've lived in, and that is that majority (not all) gay men are "just about sex."

Gay men have more clubs and bath houses for sex than any other group within the queer community. Gay men have festivals that celebrate sex (ex Circuit parties), and internet websites that are geared for only "hook ups." The stereotype of gay men, is that we don't have long term or serious relationships, but the stereotype of lesbians is that they are more serious about long term relationships.

So my question is:

Do you think promiscious behavior and non-commitment relationships is an important part of gay male culture? And do you think gay male culture encourages this sort of behavior?

Please answer intelligently, I'm not hear to insult my own community but I just want some perspectives.

i asked a question about my sexuality on yahoo last night on yahoo, i got abuse off some tosser. today i ask a simple question about my rabbit and get similar abuse off the same tosser. i have reported him both times but nothing happens/ i am dreading that everytime i ask a similar question that all the nice people that bother to answer will know im a sick lesbian. how can i report him so he doesn't continue?thanks
