I am gay and think my mate is gay. we were both drunk the other night and i asked him if he was gay he said i got a girlfriend but has never mentioned he had one before. later on i put my hand on his leg and rested my head on his shoulder and then rubbed his neck he did not say anything or move he just let me do it.

Go out another night, perhaps just the two of you, and really get to know him a bit better. Go to the pub and drink.Test the water a bit more before you make any moves. At the end of the night, if the water you felt was at least lukewarm, ask him if he wants a blowj*b. If he wants it, then good for you. If it works out in the long run, who knows, good luck if thats what happens. If he says no, you can laugh it off as a joke as you have been drinking...
Most straight guys would have run a mile if another guy touched them at all, so if he let you, he probably wants a bit. He may just be another straight guy who wants just to experiment a bit, and thats all. Is your mate gay, who knows, but many things happen when people are drunk and they can be very disastrous in the morning when you sober up. This applies to both gay and straights so don't read more into it than what it was. When you are both sober and clear headed discuss it with him, if he says he has a girlfriend and is not interested, then back off and remain friends.

Firstly, I don't believe that people (or men) engaging in such 'acts' may also be gay. Secondly, real men, like all other human creatures has emotional vulnerabilities that sometimes they find it 'silently approving' gaining it from another man (and most especially that he is your close friend per se... and damn... both of you were drunk!). What are you up to, by the way? I recon, you extremely fancy your friend and you are waiting for the moment that he reveals to you that aspect of his being that would definitely make you a happier gay.
If he is indeed gay, he may probably not ready, in any respect, to send you the message.

He maybe, or he may just be comfortable around you knowing that you are not going to try anything. Putting your hand on his leg and rubbing his neck when you have both had a drink means nothing.
It may be better to let things be and see how thing develop. Better a mate whose sexuality remains his business than no mate at all.

I know of several gay men (including myself) who've had similar experiences with straight guys. I'll answer your question from that perspective.
1. Your friend is probably straight or bisexual.
2. Your friend will probably not be comfortable talking about this. Under any circumstances.
3. It may happen again, or it may not. Don't push it.
4. There is a small chance that it will turn into a long-term affair that will ultimately break your heart, because, again, your friend is not gay.

You are going to have to ask him when you are both sober!! Sersiously though, I reackon if you ask him outright he should give you a straight (no pun intended) answer.
The bonus here is that if he lets you rub his neck, ect when he is sober then you may well find that he could be hiding the truth. That will be the best time to confront him.
Along the lines of "well... you're letting me do this. But why?"

When you was touching him he probably felt so awkward but as he is youre mate and youre gay he didnt want to say ., You gays cant have sex with everyone you know so leave the poor bugger alone .

dont overstep the mark of friendship there is a line draw it. he may be gay he may not only time will tell but he may have not moved because he may have been frozen to the spot. if he is your friend he will openly come out to you when he is ready.

try doing all of that again when he is sober.....and if the same thing happens then yea he's gay. if he freaks out, then he's not gay so just start laughing and say you were just kidding...
