Why is it so easy to expect your lover to be faithful and not look at another, even think or dream of another but then..for yourself..its not to hard to take a passing glance at the cute guy/gal walking by..smile at a flirting stewardes/gym instructor..maybe even conversate innocently because you know it won't lead to anything..until she/he give you their number..which you quickly stash away..now tell me why was it easy for you but a big NO NO for your partner?

I don't know. I don't think that way. I know my boyfriend looks at other women, talks to them and heaven forbid, even has an innocent flirt with them. I do the same with men.
It sounds like you are a bit insecure and aren't giving your partner any freedom. You can't expect a person not ever to look at someone, however much in love you are.

There is nothing wrong with looking at the opposite sex. When something attracts us, it is normal to look. Nor is there anything wrong with talking to a member of the opposite sex. There are some people even if you are cordial ,at the gym for instance, that can not differentiate between casual conversation without turning it into a sexual advance. If someone gives you their number you have two options, give it back and say politely that you are happy with your partner, or throw it away. Stashing it away would lead me to believe that you are not happy and are leaving your options open. If I found a woman's number in my hubby's pocket I would be livid. That is also human nature, your partner is yours and no one else is going to have him, but on the other hand you are flattered with someone that gives you a number and you save it, that my dear is a big NO NO. The old saying "whats good for the goose is good for the gander" applies here.

I don't knwo why people do that with each other. I feel if it's ok for me to look at someone my partner should be able to look too. If i find someone attractive i will look might flirt it's all who you go home with to me. i would choose my partner over anyone else.

I'm not sure of this one me and my girl sometimes look at same person cuz if she thinks she is cute she will just say look babe and i will but other then that if she would do that to me then oh well life goes on.

because we want to feel like we're the exception to the rule. not to mention thats a sign of someone who is controlling and has low self esteem.
