He always think people are all pretentious. Everybody just taking advantage. He is the most negative person I have ever met.

You are not going to change a person's basic personality. He is just not the right person for you. The two of you are not compatible. Find somebody else who is. Just ask yourself if you believe this boy could change YOUR personality. Why not? Because you are YOU. That's who HE is, and that attitude will always be there.

YOU CAN'T....You should not be in a relationship that requires the other person to change. Change in someone occurs because that person recognizes he/she needs to change.
Perhaps by splitting up with him, and telling him the reason you are splitting up with him is because you can't be around his negativity may cause him to reflect inwardly. This may cause him to change when he loses you. You should be with someone who lifts you up not drags you down. LOVE DOES NOT CHANGE THINGS. You will grow weary and resentful eventually...

I agree thae you cant change someone since its up to them, but you can help him, talk him in to going to a psychologist or some self help/religious group.
Alternativily show him he's wrong about life, if you can transmit your positive thoughts about life chances are he will recive them.

Change him with love and nuturing, and be patient. He's probably been through some crap, or it's just his viewpoint of life. It may not be as bad as it seems.

Try reverse psychology and be even more negative than he. He;ll either try to cheer you up, or you can have fun commiserating together.

You can not change him because he has to want to change. How you change the situation is by you changing. Maybe he is not for you or maybe you have to do some changing first. Good luck

You can't change him. Either learn to deal with him or find someone more positive to be with.
