Sexual deviant was a term once used to describe homosexuals, before it was fully understood that homosexuality is a natural and normal, recurring expression of human sexuality.
There is a weighted judgemental nature to the term, 'sexual deviant,' which depends upon the primary belief in a certain 'normal' type of human sexuality. Most credible scientists would reject his presupposition today.
It's more likely that human sexuality would be understand as a continuum of expression. Consequenly, the question must be raised, "whose to say what constitutes a sexual deviation?"
There are, infact, some behaviors which doctors would probably classify as sexually deviant, in that they vary enormously from the predictable trends in human behavior.
These deviations would include the relatively rare occurance of pedophilia. You might think from the news reports that peodophiles are everywhere, but in fact, this is a rare deviation in human behavior.
Homosexuality, on the other hand, occurs so frequently and with such a constant statistical occurance, that it is probably incorrect to call it a deviation.

A sexual deviant tends to bring to mind people who have very strange fetishes. A Homosexual simply likes someone of the same sex. Though one can be the other, one isn't always the other.

Nothing. Sexuality is for the purpose of reproduction(only humans have messed with that) so therefore any sexual activity that is not for the purpose of possible reproduction is deviant behavior.
