Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender - September 2006

I keep condemned by straight people all the time for being gay.

I'm young, and there are gay people who actually condemn me for not like effeminate/queen type of guys.

AND the fact that I don't really fit in with the bear community because I'm so young.

It's so frustrating. How the hell do I deal with this?!

My idiot friend knows that I used to be male and now I live as a woman. He seems to think that driving a truck is a masculine thing and he questions my sincerity as to my desire to be a woman.

He seems to think that "only men or lesbians drive trucks", yet I keep telling him I am straight, a woman, and certainly NOT a man.

He seems to see the world through very stereotypical eyes, that women should wear pink gingham dresses, wear perfume, and bake cookies. Men should be rough, tough, and ultra masculine.

I prefer to wear my Lee jeans for women, a cotton tank top, and a pair of boots. I am very much a country girl and I love living in the country.

I also don't look anything like a man- when I tell people that I used to be a man, they don't believe me, and it takes a while to convince them that I used to be male. I am very much a woman, in body and mind.

So back to the question- I just think trucks are practical, and not a sign of being a lesbian. Any thoughts on this?

i am a straight male and i dont feel comfortable around gay guys. whenever i am around one i feel uneasy. i feel uneasy until i know the person for a while and till i know he doesnt like me too much. the one time a guy did, i was flattered but i had to be honest. i could recipricate those feelings. if i did i probly woulda gone for it. is this wrong

I'm a 25 year old gay guy. I have fallen in love with a guy I met but here is the problem: he's 38. He's short and he looks younger than he is (since many Asians age well), so when I'm with him I do not feel like I am with an older guy, I feel like I am with someone my age. I feel very good when I'm around him and I feel really good and close to him when we make love. But the age thing keeps standing out in my mind. I don't know what my mom would think about me being with a 38 year old. I feel like I want to be with him but something is pulling me back.

Any advice?

Hey everyone. Ok, I'm 14 yrs old and a freshmen in high school. This question has two parts to it.
I'm trying to "find myself". BTW I'm NOT gay. I just feel confused half of me thinks homosexuality is wrong, my religion tells me its wrong and its a sin, half of me feels that two guys being involved both sexually and emotionally is wrong. But the other half of me tells me that being gay is not a choice, some people are born straight while others are born gay its really not their faults. I'm soo confused!!! Are gay people really immoral or are they just being true to themselves???
Here's the second part to my question:
I'm thinking of starting a GSA club at my high school. I go to Garland High School in Texas but I'm afraid people might think I'm a lesbian. First let me say that this is complicated issues sort of, well for me it is. Here's the Low down, I'm gay, I've know that I was gay since about 4th grade. But I've never acted on it or anything, I've had girls like me during high school, but I never showed it back. Instead of people saying I was gay, they would just say I was nerdy. Currently I'm in my 2nd year of college. With a roommate, I'm about 88.9% sure is gay. Who was spanked growing up and how?
