Ok, this is the only time you all will listen to my prattle, so I must make this a question. It is just now beginning the 2nd rainstorm of the season. All is grey
outside from the ground to the sky.
We will have about 1 storm per week
until next Mar/April. Use your brains.
What's the best use of my time during
this winter? No crafts, I don't have the
patience.

Who else is sick and tired of hearing that? It's so rude. I ask so many questions in this thread that have nothing to do with being gay. Actually, I don't know that I've ever asked a question that really belonged here. But I kinda feel like I belong here. I've grown fond of my big, gay cage and don't care to venture out.

So if you don't want to answer a question because you think it doesn't belong here then don't answer it. Don't try to make people feel like an a** because they feel a sense of community here.

So long as that it was performed legally, New York will recognize it. Thus, you could marry in Massachusetts and live in New York if you wanted to =] (Seems like that's what I'd to if the current state of things don't change, and to be honest, I love New York City.) I didn't know that, until, oh... 5 minutes ago.

My question is: Why don't they just full out allow it if they recognize international same-sex marriage?

A woman I know has been described as having a 'male sexual orientation' further she has been described as gay and therefore is attracted to men.
Can anyone explain this to me ? Does anyone know any women like this? Tell me something as I know very little about this.

Dragon and I are Red Cross volunteers for many years. Dragon helped retrieve the bodies found floating in the water after Katrina in LA, she also rescued a dog and a horse.

Bet you wouldn't have thought that our dear Dragon did this!

Hair straightening chemicals break down the bonds in spirally or tightly curled hair and damage it PERMANENTLY. It seems some black women are caught up in maintaining an image; but whose image? Please let me know what you think?

I read a poll in Shape Magazine of 1,000 African-American women aged 18 to 64 that "of the 66 percent who do relax their hair [made it super straight with chemicals], 28 percent plan to go au naturel within the year." "It's healthier" and "it's less expensive" were the top reasons cited.

Any RELEVANT and USEFUL comments and answers are appreciated. Thanks.

Oh and I'm a Black female who has cultivated locs (natural hairstyle) for the past 5 years. Made the switch when I realized I was damaging my hair and spending thousands yearly doing it!

Is anyone familiar with the genocide on the white race in the United States in particular? I'm not looking to aggravate anyone. I'd just like to see how many "alarmed" (white citizens in specific) there are. Again, I'm not trying to promote racism, I'm just curious about this matter.

Do they not know about all the negatives that this comes with, as far as divorce, alimony, etc etc.

I mean other than the argument of "we just want the same rights", can you expound on the benefits you hope to enjoy from marriage that you can't already enjoy?

When i was at my homecommin dance 2 weekends ago, me and some of my friends [all female] where dancing, and my princible came up to us and said 'No lez dancing!' and he made us stop, also he kicked out a 11th grade guy and his date because he brought a man to the dance. isent this wrong? shouldnt there be something done about this? what are the rights?

Fall is on its way, chilly, damp weather here in BC. Which means a flare up of aches and pains and joint problems for many of us. How are y'all coping?

Yesterday was one of those days for me. Woke up so stiff it was like rigamortis set in during the night. Just breathing caused that ache we FMS people know so well. Hobbling around like an old crone of about 110. Then the last living light bulb in my kitchen blew. Which meant trying to find some good samaritan willing to come over and change it. Luckily my landlord showed up ! So I didnt have to go out and buy new tubes for it either. However he objected to the thermostat being set at 74 to try and get the damp out of the house. :-( I was going to have a steaming hot bath just as he arrived so that was out. I was wearing my jacket, wrapped in a blanket and shivering and aching - so he decided to fire up the wood insert in the fireplace ! Several hours later as the temperature hit 83 in the LR I was finally able to ....
