Your rights? Probably none.

Talk to a lawyer! Or GLAD or NCLR, and ask what you can do.

Doing so will secure your rights, and prevent this from happening again.

Girls always dance together...this guy sounds a bit over reactive.

If the guy he brought to he dance was older than high school age, then yes that would be a problem. If not, then the principal is out of line.

well ya there should be something done. then again the since yall didnt pay for homecoming and the school is the host, they have the right to choose who gets in and who doesnt. who knows there might have been more to that story about the 2 gay guys, they might have been high or drunk or sumthn, becuase the school takes alot of risks when choosing to be (how shall i say this?) homofobic.

as far as the rights go. i know that students dont have meny rights on in school. you have limited freedom of speech. they dont need a warrant to search you....stuff like that

We should have the same rights as everyone else, although at my school we dont. I remember last year me and my my best friend (female) almost got kicked out for dancing together. But its still not fair!

That is wrong...at my school it's totally different. I know that at homecoming nobody cares if there's two+ girls dancing together or if some guy brought another guy, and the only thing they get on to us about is grind lines.

Oh my god. I would have said " NO ruling us around you bast.ard, And for your information, Were not lesbians ok so yeah get your facts right before you talk to me . You know what mr {whatever his name is} F.CK YOU!"...LOL my mom and dad would have encouraged me to say that! Yes it is was just because I hang out with my friend who is a girl allll the time and school people ar elike UNNN LESBIS!!! so the principles seperated us. I think they should make a school for gays, bi's, and lesbians :)

Gay and lesbians have the same rights as anyone else. (ie - as long as they aren't doing anything illegal they should be able to go to a dance without being harrassed)

Besides a group of girls dancing together doesn't mean that they are lesbians. I think your prinicpal is way out of line here.

What the ****? He said "No lez dancing"? Asshole!
Unfortunately he is within his rights though as it was a private function organized by himself, not a public arena.
Still a total dick though.

thats totally wrong. It would be one thing if you were doing inapproiate things, but if your just dancing no big deal. If its a Catholic school though they can technically not allow you to do that i guess.
