Earlier someone asked what would happen if they held a straight parade. Someone else answered that it would reveal the "double standard" in existance. I don't know what this means. I have never been attacked by gay people for being proud. I've said it before and I'll say it again; I'm straight and I'm proud. I'm proud to live at a time and in a place where I can know so many people. Beautiful people of different colors, and sexuality and cultures. I'm proud of the fact that I have a mind capable of learning something new everyday. I'm proud to be capable of loving and being loved.

So you see? We can all be proud. There is no double standard in that. The double standard coems when a society says one segment cannot have the same rights as the other segments. We can all be proud. We can all march. So, to the asker of the parade question, isn't it time we all marched proudly together and demanded equal rights and acceptance for all?

recently heard on the radio an expert on the slave trade call for all western countries involved in slavery to say sorry for these atrocious acts. Now, who beleives we should apologise for them? Bearing in mind that we weren't directly involved or responsible (meaning,us now, 173 years on). Like expecting all modern German people to say sorry for the Nazis.

I mean, what was going on with having to ask with sitting underneath the tree, and what the white kid was supposedly doing was right, but how the hell can someone support 6 teenagers that decided violence was the solution? I know the school systems suck, but i mean, couldn't they at least teach something better than that?

They're always talking about them, giving them names. You could check some online forums. Their topics it's always ****** this or ****** that. it's crazy!! I mean, i don't see other groups acting like that. I think it's one of the reason why some people are reluctant to trust them because basically they're two-face people. I know there are exceptions(Thank god for that) but i bet it's only a small number. Can't we just get along for godsakes?!

black? Egypt is on the continent of Africa but the Egyptian people are not black nor do they resemble African blacks in any way. To me it is like saying that the Spanish must look like Germans or the Italians must look like the Irish because they are all from Europe. These groups are extremely diverse in both appearance and culture. This all makes no sense to me.

Here in Europe it simply means you are going for a swim, but I've heard that in the US the term is immediately associated to homosexuality or somebody wanting to show off his pack. Is it true? I need to know for a translation I'm doing, as if I'm not more specific the full meaning will be lost and I shall burn in translators' hell for eternity.

I don't know what I have done to you, whatever it is I am sorry. All I do is go to work, come home cook dinner, go out to pay some bills, come back home and sleep most of the time. I know you all have statistics of blacks doing everything wrong and all that other stuff. I don't contribute to your negative govt. stats about blacks but you have some reason to hate me anyway.

Whatever I did so wrong towards you I apologize for it.

Your so angry and hateful towards me yet I have never done anything wrong towards you personally. So you take it upon your self to treat me badly because of my features. Again whatever it is I have done I am sorry for it.

I just thought keeping to myself would avoid getting all of you so angry but apparently I have done something so wrong that you have to treat me wrong without even knowing my name.

Here is a tissue if it makes you feel any better. Do you want me to write a personaly apology to each and everyone of you so you can get over your hate?

What wrong with Africans and Black Americans why they hate our skin color for. We are human-beings to, these things makes me so sad when these people of Asian decent or Russians people hate us bc are skin color.

Sometimes I talk to God at night are talk to myself an ask Why Why did you made Human-beings, Why is it so hard for us blacks. Then I say well you made ppl of diffrent colors/race.

Tell you the turth I really don't like Asian ppl bc They don't like us an they always look up to Whites. Every race/Ethnic people always think whites are the best an gods and then hate blacks bc our skin color.

It is thought by some that the demand woman have had to work in the past and the fight for equality among men, has made life more difficult for women whom wish to stay home. Because annual household income directly regulates the price of living due to inflation, Is it not true that since women demanded to work has now made the economy demand for woman to work in order to reach the american standard of living?
