Its kind of weird the first time you do it.

I was thinking about this because the other day I was at a neighbors barn and helped him deliver a calf. I was just at the right place at the right time. then it occurred to me I can't remember the last time I milked a cow.

Are you hitting on me. I lived on a farm and we had a milk cow. I milked it. It was fun and we made our own butter from it as well. It's easy to do once you get the hang of it. But is hard work to fill up the bucket.

Yes I have, Dearest, both with a milker and by hand. I grew up on a farm and I still find that I like my milk warm straight out of the cow...I know people are going to find that really squicky but I grew up that way. We had Jerseys, so the milk was very creamy.
Later, Best Beloved and I worked as Milk Testers, so we were on the farms a lot morning and night, checking for fat and protein counts and for other things in the milk.
I love the smell of cows and hay. Thanks for the nostalgia.

Why is this in the homo (GLBT) section as a question? Is there an underlying sexual tone to your question? Or are you really just wondering about milking cows? I think it would be interesting to milk a cow....a farm would be fun, to have like two pigs and chickens and cow. My mom had a pig when she was little that thought it was a dog....I hope this isnt some sexual thing Im not getting....

Used to milk a barn of 120 holstiens morning and night for $2.00 an hour and the chance to be alone with Mr. Brown's daughter Anne. Loved that job.

Can't stand milk though. If someone put a gun to my head and told me to drink a glass of milk, I'd have to think about it.

Yup, sure have. I grew up in Minnesota. Now that I live in New York City all of my friends like to hear those stories. They all think I'm sheltered because I grew up in the Midwest, I think they're sheltered because they didn't get a chance to milk cows growing up!

I was raised on a farm. I showed Holsteins in the County fair when I was in 4-H. Yep, I've milked, helped brand and herd many cows.

Haha, that reminds me of when I went on a field trip to a farm in elementary school. They let us milk the cows if we wanted to, but I chose not to. I wouldn't want some kid tugging on my nipples personally.

Yep - I gre up in Kentucky. I have done lots of things that people are now very suprised about I also saw a calf born - theyhad to use one of those pulley contraptions. We also saved a calf that had fallen into the river, we named him Lucky. We also had to round up cattle, pigs, horses, sheep and goats. I am fine with all of that but you put a frog within 15 feet of me and I will pee my pants!
