You've just struck a nerve with me because I HATE that. Nothing worse than privileged, spoon-fed people who have the world at their fingertips ( and doesn't appreciate it) feels the need to rebel and mimic the behavior of people that struggle, and live mich harder lives with less opporotunity than them. They can do this when it's convienent for them, then their off to the mall with daddy's platinum card. And one day they will eventually grow up, go to a good college and forget all about that "phase" of their lives, while those they were imitating are still living it. You can't have it both ways.

I think it's hilarious! 99% of the White kids that do that would crap their pants if they EVER had to go through 3 minutes of the culture they are trying to immitate.

2. they never act like Common or Mos Def or Blackalicious or Will.i.am, but more like Tum Tum or The Game

3. it makes me wonder if they are just trying to tick their parents, teachers, and other authority figures off

4. there are members of the criminal element who happen to be of my same race, but people mistake this culture as "black culture" and it is not

If that's what they are comfortable in and don't mind the stereotypical thoughts about them, why not? Personally I wish we all had the same skin color and all had to wear the same color clothes, and all had the same financial, religious, and social backing.

Judge me on my character not what I look like.
