Well, you could say they were equal. But I believe that it is better to not live so that you have no regrets (ever watch Naruto?). Anyhow, I think it's best if you regret nothing and look forward to what you won't be able to regret. That's the only real solution to a problem like this. So, as the people at Nike say, Just Do It!

If I had to pick, I'd say regretting something I've done. I've always said that I don't want to be sitting in my rocking chair one day wondering "What If.....?" One day I would love to take a white water rafting trip, or a trip to Alaska to see the Aurora Borealis. I don't want to be 80, and wishing I had.

Of course, I have regrets from things I've done, but try not to hang on to them to long. I find myself regretting things that I wish I had done, but didn't. Of course, there's always hope that a missed opportunity might come my way again. Also, if I'm able to, I jump through every open door that I can.

sort of depends on the situation. 99% of the time, its better to do something and regret it, than it is to not do something and regret it. at least you have the experience you otherwise wouldnt have... for example, i wasnt sure if i would join a college football team, but i decided i would because i didnt want to regret not doing it for the rest of my life. but after a year, it wasnt very fun, so i quit. i dont regret that at all. plus, this way i dont have anything to regret for the rest of my life, i gave it a go, and didnt enjoy it. you never know, so give whatever it is your thinking about a shot!

I have thought on this a great deal myself. Look, once the time is gone, it's gone forever. You can't go back and say the things you should have said but didn't. You can't go back and take the opportunities that you didn't see at the time. You can't go back and make the big adventures that you chickened out on before.

Life is short. Dead is permanent. This is the only time you have. It is infinitely better for you to be actively and passionately involved in your life. Take chances. Do what you feel powerfully you want to do. If you make a mistake, all you can do is pick yourself up and try not to do it again. But get back up on your feet and keep going. Make a list of what you want to do, and where you want to go. Make the next 365 days the year that you do at least two or three of the top ten things on your list. Make this the year that you go on at least one of your most dreamed-of adventures.

Do it. Live.

I think I personally would rather regret something that I did do. At least then I know I tried.

I think I tend to regret things I didn't do rather than things I've done. I'll never know the outcome of the things I was too much of a punk to do.

if your conscience is clear and what you did has not any harmful effect on anybody, i think its better to regret something you have done rather than didn't. When you don't do it, you'll spend the rest of your life wondering whether or not you should've done that.

If it's something that is going to be regretted, no, it shouldn't have been done in the first place. Who wants all that guilt?

it's better to have no regrets at all - but if you are torn about something ... i think if it doesn't hurt you, or anyone else and it doesn't disappoint you in yourself especially - then it may be ok.

you know - there is a reason for the saying ignorance is bliss, tho. once you do something and know what it is you may end up missing it if you choose not to participate again.
