After all, when you look closely at the bible - it's very ambiguous and doesn't really point out anything about homosexuality being a sin.
It says, "You shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination." But apparently abomination, in Hebrew, literally translates to "unclean" - and doesn't at all refer to sexual practices. Note as well: "lying with" does not = sex.
And then again, it says nothing about lesbianism *winks* - and outlaws "wearing glasses" and "having acne" as well as "a male having a haircut" in the same page. So, why don't we ban these things, too?
Hmmm...
I guess God only knows.
And we're not a theocracy anyway... so what _is_ the legal reason for the bans?
Sowing hate? Closeted homosexuality and consequent self-fear? A fear of not being able to **** certain women - and thus forcing them out of marrying other women? Chauvinism itself?
If anyone knows a real legal issue here, please, please, share it with me.
I'm just burning to know.
