Just wondering from anyone who has spent a long amount of time, or who is from Brazil...are there any major racial issues in Brazil, or are the people usually well united?

Why are so many stories in erotica books about S&M, fetishes, or just generally freaky? I just want normal lesbian sex. I know that covers a big range, but that is my point exactly. I hate starting a story and finding out it is about stuff that totally turns me off. Can't all the S&M be in its own book? I read erotica to be turned on, not to thumb through picking out the 3 stories that are not bizarre.

I'd like to know some good lesbian books, fiction or non-fiction. But I prefer recent ones to republished stuff from way back. Authors would be helpful as well or even publishing companies.

After all, when you look closely at the bible - it's very ambiguous and doesn't really point out anything about homosexuality being a sin.

It says, "You shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination." But apparently abomination, in Hebrew, literally translates to "unclean" - and doesn't at all refer to sexual practices. Note as well: "lying with" does not = sex.

And then again, it says nothing about lesbianism *winks* - and outlaws "wearing glasses" and "having acne" as well as "a male having a haircut" in the same page. So, why don't we ban these things, too?

Hmmm...

I guess God only knows.

And we're not a theocracy anyway... so what _is_ the legal reason for the bans?

Sowing hate? Closeted homosexuality and consequent self-fear? A fear of not being able to **** certain women - and thus forcing them out of marrying other women? Chauvinism itself?

If anyone knows a real legal issue here, please, please, share it with me.

I'm just burning to know.

You have agreed to a little role-play with your girlfriend/wife. She is going to an adult bookstore to buy a strap-on dildo that she is going to use on you. Would you go with her to help her choose which one? Would you let her pay for it or buy it yourself?

The reason that I only mentioned white women is because, most women of color already have full lips. So I'm not being racist, that's just a fact.

read this book, in one of the stories in that book, a couple adopted an asian boy and a latino girl. they made the boy work very hard on an instrument and expect him to be very very sucessful and i quote ''hes asian he can do anything'', while the girl have less expectation and less responsibility. i personally thought that was racist, but most asians in my class are very smart, so i ask u guys. by the way the story ended with the boy stoped trying so hard, and the parents understood what they had done wrong

I am a Christian. I am not gay. I do not hate gay people, and I do not believe posting Bible verses here is helping you to share your faith. I especially want to let Twist know (if you read this) that I think it's unfortunate that other Christians have been hypocrites, and I think they should read the gospels because they'd find that Jesus would treat you with more respect than that.
Yeah, we know what the Bible says about it... but you can't shove it down people's throats. It doesn't help anything. I grew up with it being shoved down my throat, then rebelled by dating men... then I discovered that's not what I want. People just have to make their own choices. I don't know what else to say. Christians, please don't harrass these people anymore. It is SO HYPOCRYTICAL.

When my parents found out my buddy Zach was gay, my Mom told me that if I was she would support me no matter what. My Dad skirted the issue entirely and changed the subject. I know his family will probably disown me, but I'm not sure how my Mom's family will react. They seemed fine with my buddy being gay, but it is slightly different when it is your own family. Any advice on coming out but not a too "in your face" approach?

One note for the religious people who will undoubtably be answering my question by bringing Jesus and God into the picture, I AM AN ATHEIST.

Help would be greatly appreciated!!
