Is that " funny" enough for you ? I can get really "hysterical " if you want ...lol !
The answer to your question is this : We speak the way we do for two reasons, 1) we are intelligent, 2) we have a sense of humour far more superior to yours .

Im sorry that u feel that way, it must be hard for you having been raised in a "country" that has simplified the English language in both written and spoken forms to accomodate the bumbling masses

we in the uk think u talk funny, then again i work with dutch people and they way they talk cracks me up, but at least they learn a new lanuage. We are what we are, every one has a different dialict and it would be a bloody boring world if we all spoke the same sweetie

We talk funny? Your command of the English Language seems in some question, or is that the American way of spelling?

We only talk funny when we don't come from the same place, like any country accents and dialects are different wherever you come from. If we all talked the same then we would be robots.

Yanks sound funny to UK ears too.

We don't spell everything phonetically either :)

And the way Americans pronounce "Buoy" always cracks me up.

>Boo-ee<

I was about to reply to your nonsense but looking at the replies my esteemed countrymen and women have already rallied round and given you more than "what's for".
The arrogance and stupidity of some americans nearly always takes my breath away.
If you had any decency, you would apologise for your insults!
p.s. do learn to spell, your attempt at English is lamentable

Come on, don't try to be too subjective, too over-confidence about your language, in fact yours english is not Brits english.
Have you notice what answer you got over here? Now, who talks funny?
