Or is it more like Bible thumper happy hour that ends soon?
I know they pop in to preach too often, but it seems a bit worse tonight.

LeeannDemon - I believe that if Jesus walked the earth for a day, he'd be horrified to see the way his message has been manipulated. Your version of Christianity will never ring true for many because it takes at face value words written ~1600 yrs ago and completely disregards the social, economic, and political context of the time that influenced the MEN who wrote it the stories passed down to them. Your version of Christianity is an irrational justification for your own personally chosen prejudice and bigotry. At least own it as your own choice and stop blaming God for judgmental way of living.

Well, this "Bible thumper" is leaving in a few minutes to get some sleep, so it's one less you have to worry about.
But I really was here to be supportive. Sorry about my second post. It was unnecessary for me to try to defend myself against another Christian who clearly didn't have a clue what I was talking about. That's not what it was about.
Peace

not that i agree with being "gay" but then again i don't agree with stealing or lying or any other sin either...that is just another sin along with all the rest of them that us Christians commit each and every day as well!!!!! not just non-believers, just because we are Christians doesn't mean we can look down on others, we are supposed to love unconditionally and not judge...unfortunately some "Christians" believe that just because they claim to know the Lord they think that they are better than others...i am truly sorry for each and every time you were ever mistreated or will be mistreated...that is not how a true Christian should act...
in response to LeeannDemon...i understand that you're a "Christian" and everything, as am I, but I am troubled by what she said "I believe that if Jesus walked the earth for a day, he'd be horrified to see the way his message has been manipulated."
honey, He doesn't have to walk this earth...He sees it each and every day...remember He has control of everything?!? and has everything planned out for His will?!? did that detail somehow slip your mind?...not that He is happy about how His message has been changed and mutated in ways, but that doesn't mean He doesn't know or have a plan for it

Bible thumper means a believer in god banging on the bible while telling someone they will go to hell if they do not conform to their the bible thumpers beliefs. (bible thumpers are just confused and brainwashed people)
I have noticed before I can get a question answered I am on the second page tonight. Is kinda strange. Must be the mans weekend to have the kids. Or is it the woman's weekend? I can't remember my kids are grown now so there are no more controlled visitations. But you did know that god don't hold marriage together right?
Who knows, Maybe I might be lucky enough to make one of them understand that they are being scammed out of their money by putting it in that preachers pockets.
People evolved and was here millions of years before a bible was. Think about it people .. You are being scammed.

Dont ya just hate it when people try to push their religion on people. Every time I see someone in here ask a question about gay's and lesbians I see so many people respond with "It's a sin you should pray to god for help." Or that the bible says its a sin. I simply reply to those people that I have a long line of ministers/priest in my family and while I don't go to church I know the bible dont clearly state that gay people should not have rights, gay people cant get married, or that its a sin. So grab a bible and point it out where it clearly states that. Other wise stop reading to much into what was really said".
If they are bothering you reply by telling them its also wrong for them to force their religion on you. Its also wrong to judge people. So they should go pray for forgiveness and stop bothering you.

I could not agree with you more. I dont know how many times I have thought that I would like to get involved in some type of religious type service regularly, but then I hear judgmental Christians who wear their religion on their sleeves and I know why I dont.

It's a Friday so because we can't go and have fun (Because it's a sin) we hang out in yahoo answers and try to save people...
I'm kidding! I'm a Christian but I don't shove what I believe down any ones throat! I'm sorry you have to deal with people who do!

Let those who are without sin cast the first stone, not bury their daughter under a marker with"UNKNOWN TO GOD"
Yes, I am a sinner, impure, unable to forgive the family that treated my late partner; their daughter, so.
I have known guilt, festering anger and disgust . I am unable to forgive them.
