If I'm Irish, and I take part in the Irish day parade, does that mean I'm shoving my culture in someone's face? How about the Puerto Rican day parade? Black History month? How many people really complain during the Thanksgiving day parade or the Christmas parade? Do Chinese people get upset when we celebrate New Year's Eve, since theirs is not celebrated on the same day? Or should we be the ones who are upset when they have their day?
So why do some people get such an attitude when the Gay Pride parade is brought up and celebrated? All of a sudden, the rules change, don't they?

Please, no religious bs, I don't follow your religion. I don't care what you say about sin, that's not what this question is about, and should you respond, you will have wasted your time and finger strength. Don't shove your religion down my throat.

I mean, I know is acceptable in european cultures (Spain, France, etc.), but is it acceptable in the U.S.? If you see or know a man who wears thongs, want do you first think? If you see a man at the beach wearing 'dental floss', what comes to your head? lol

This is not meant to be an offensive question, I have gay friends and a gay brother.

However, most people know of the "gay scene", the guys in urban areas who do meth and other drugs, and have vast amounts of unprotected sex, sometimes with multiple partners. The HIV/AIDS rates among these men is considerably higher than the rest of the gay population. HIV can spread like wildfire among gay men who choose not to wear protection. The "scene" is destructive because many people once they're infected choose not to tell their partners, and continue to spread the virus.

The gay lifestyle is not dangerous, no more than any other lifestyle. But the fact of the matter is, promiscuous gay men have way higher rates of HIV than promiscuous straight people. It's not a judgment thing, its just how it is and it needs to be stopped before someone you or I care about becomes a victim.

I was told this in a different question.

Gay marriage is a matter of equal rights from the state. Straight couples so willingly accept special rights when they marry (ie, taxes, next of kin, inheritance laws, healthcare benefits, etc...) but are fussing that we want the same? Explain that one to me.

We will gladly withdraw our argument/protest if heteorsexual couples will give up their marriage special rights by the states. You can still be married in your churches and be recognized there.. just no more special rights bythe state just for straight couples.

I'm gay and my ex-boyfriend's brother is visiting me from Canada, we are sleeping in the same bed. They look pretty much alike, and I feel that I like him alot. When he look at me I feel that I like him and he is very kind with me. He knows everything that happens with my relationship with his brother. I don't look gay and I have't had any other relationship w anybody since 5 years when I break up. I so confuse I do'nt know if I like him or I still love his brother?

Really for the most part it is Asian, Black, Hispanic etc. Yet White folks never see themselves in a 'Race Group'. They only are the ones peering in the looking glass.

Notice I used the word black because there are black people from all over the world living in the US not just African Americans.
