I love it when country bumpkins prove themselves as more than just bumpkins and act like bigots. Quick, "Bumpkin", what does abomination mean exactly?
The most homophobic town in Texas? Is there one LESS homophobic than the others?
What's something you'll never hear in Texas: "I'll take Shakespeare for $1000, Alex."

I would exclude three cities from the top:
1) Dallas, 2) Houston and, 3) Austin.
Austin was the nation's first municipality that offered domestic partner benefits to its employees, and from what I've heard it's pretty friendly to GLBT persons.
Dallas and Houston both have thriving GLBT communities.
Overall, as with many southern, backwater states, Texas is pretty homophobic. That is the state, afterall, from which America's little Thug President hails.
Best Wishes!

There is a small town in Western Texas called Van Horn that I stopped in one time with my girlfriend and we were refused service at a diner. I was younger at the time and we were all over each other, but the manager came to us and said, "We don't serve dikes!" I have never had a problem in San Antonio, Austin, or Dallas, but did get some weird looks in El Paso. I hope to get to Houston one day. I maybe with a man or women. How friendly are they there?

I live in Texas, and I'd say any town smaller than Austin is likely to be very homophobic.

Where did the word homophobic come from, isnt it something the homosexuals have made up. I know phobic means to have a fear. But I do not have fear of homosexuals, I just feel in my soul that it is sort of an abomination what they are doing. Whereas homosexuals call it love, we think it is lust. And anyone decent doesnt want to be known as a lustful person.
