Whites are usually biased, due to the fact, that they are labeled as a main race...a dominant one...the majority in the face of minority. The phrase 'White' or caucasian is never in need of a sub-title that states that they are also american, its already evident. So, the minority is stuck with secondary citizenship, such as African AMERICAN, Asian AMERICAN, Mexican AMERICAN...even ironically Native AMERICANS...while the Whites are this collective group who have no need for this reassertion of nationality...White is good enough

Mmmm. interesting theory. I think it depends where the white person is located. I think if they are the majority (as is most often the case in North America), they don't see themselves as a different from the race, because they are the "norm" in that society. I think the situation would be very different for a white person living somewhere else in the world, for example, Asia or the Middle East. Then a Caucasian would become much more aware of their race.

I think that society and the politicians in an effort to group people and have census have confused the difference between race and nationality. They also tend to lump all people into one neglecting to see the different nation and culture. The white box is to actually see who is from Europe, again lumping us together in the so called "melting pot". Do you think you can melt?

Good question! I am caucasian.I really don't understand the whiteness some people claim because no matter how fair your complexion is, it still is not white in color, unless you are albino.
Why can't people be accepted as human beings and forget all that racial crap!

I disagree. Whites or Caucasians most definitely see themselves as a race.

Caucasions dont see themselfs as a race because that mentality has been passed down to them. Just as blacs when confronted and angerd will associate themselves with slaves. unfortunatly we as human beings have not exeeded our four fathers rule and have not grown above. once we can we will thrive.

We (whites) aren't supposed to look at a persons color anymore. Seems ok for the reverse to take place though.
