By using the word "always" you are also using a judgment word. Beware of stereotypes. Have a happy day! I send you a gummy bear.

I always wondered this too. There are so many things about life (religion) and other stuff that we will never understand. I used to think that it was to make the congragation bigger so they'd get more money. I'm not the brightest bulb in the pack and this is the way that I used to think....

It used to tick me off about religious people always wanting money for the collection plate. Wasn't religion suppose to be free??

Until till I heard: Water is also free, you just have to pay to have it pumped to you.

Just thunk that I'd throw that bit of wisdom in there. This is as smart as I get.

It's a part of Christianity to "spread the word" and save people. Unfortunately, though they may claim not to be judgemental, assuming that someone is lost and does not know real truth is an automatic judgement of a very harsh kind.

Christian ideology encourages it. Througout the texts of the Old Testament, The Bible, and The Koran, God reminds faithfull Christians to spread their faiths. The Taubah,(also containing prescribed ways to execute infidels like me), encourages those who submit to God's will,(translated from "Muslim"), the Books of Job, Leviticus, Numbers, and Revelations all remind the faithfull to spread the tidings of Jesus. Jews are asked to "bear witness", they are a passive religion, not a converting one. They are simply told to educate those who willfully listen, but that still can be interpreted in many ways.

Why are "non christians" always making the supposition that all christians act a certain way (judgemental, hypocritical, etc.) Unfortunately, there are many people out there that claim to be Christians and do not live or act the way they should. You're right, God is the one true judge and it is against scripture for us to judge eachother. "Judge not lest ye be judged".

When you love in a generalized specific area. One tends to take on the cultural beliefs and views of the local traditions and religions. Christians are the same and narrow their mind to their faith assuming their religion is the best. And since it is the most globablized religion they think they have to be right because there are more of them.

I'll answer with a question. Why when a Christian simply states what the Bible says are we automatically judged as judge-mental? We are not condemning anyone, we are just telling it like the Bible says it. If you won't read it on your own, how will you know what it says. Just read it and see. I would recommend starting with Romans & John in the New Testament. God Bless!

When we do not have the same mercy as God has for sinners, it is easy to pass judgment.

they have been taught that it is their duty the churches want them to bring in other people to swell the collections and give the churches more political clout They used the fear of judgment to keep the people they already have.
