Did anyone catch the special on TLC about Camp 9/11? I am in the middle of a DVR viewing of the show and already I want to get involved with this project.

I work with troubled teens in a therapeutic wilderness camp setting in Texas. I deal with kids and their emotional issues all the time. I would be honored to volunteer at one of the camps and I'm sure I'm not the only one, lots of people on my staff would volunteer their time to counsel camp there.

Trouble is, I am having trouble finding out how to get in touch with the people who run the camps. Does anyone know where to start?

I mean, basically financially is it probably smarter to just try to get in some activities that could help me get some scholarships for college and be poor through most of highschool, or just go ahead and get some minimum wage job at a restaurant or whatever...

I have a business plan ready to go, the business plan is set, with the exception of paid employees. In a non profit business can you pay employees and yourself, or is that illegal? I have asked people, and get different answers.

Anyone have any good books on the Non Profit matter either, it is a homeless shelter I am starting up, and I am rather excited about it.

I have $200 to give away to someone who is in real need of it, 'cos I made this vow unto myself that if a certain matter falls according to my plan I would donate it to someone.

I'm seriously thinking about worthy cause(s) I could work towards helping directly or indirectly. Trouble is that I've no idea where to start because there are so many I can think of, and yet I know I am not aware of many many more. I was hoping that perhaps you could open my eyes to worthy causes you know of. Perhaps one of yours will take my breath and capture my heart. Yesterday, I was driving and just 10 meters ahead of me I witnessed a Land Cruiser crashing from the back a small car. The small one slipped across the road and the back was heavily banged that the metal was squashed.. but still I drove smoothly and didn't stop... tere were alot of cars behind me all of them stopped... when I just drove.. I am not feeling right now , what should I have done ? It's the first time it ever happens to me.
