The end of the world as we know it refers to change, not end. Its not the end of the world, just the end of the world as we know it.
Apocalypse means revelation, something being uncovered a truth becoming known, and so it isnt the end of the world just the end of the world as we know a better world and that is why they feel fine? How do they know when it hasnt happened yet? Thats why its the end of the world as you know it its a freight train coming your way real soon.

The world is in a lot of change and flux right now. Remaining in your own centre of peace within self will help through this trying time. It is the end of a materialist focus on life. The next step is a spiritual focus. Change is always unsettling.

rubbish question, in every century after 0 AD there where people who believed armageddon was near.
So for all u believers , there is no god and there is no armageddon comming in a theather near you.. SOON or Later. enjoy the time you are given, end afterwards u simply ends to excist, but tahts toooooo scary for most of you all.. the bigest lie ever told is that there is a life after this one

life is to be lived let us live what ever you think this time is the best way we can fill your time with kindness generosity understanding care about others and be your best you will be fine
and in peace then you might just find out that the world ends because we did not care enough you may change the outcome
