I'm seriously thinking about worthy cause(s) I could work towards helping directly or indirectly. Trouble is that I've no idea where to start because there are so many I can think of, and yet I know I am not aware of many many more. I was hoping that perhaps you could open my eyes to worthy causes you know of. Perhaps one of yours will take my breath and capture my heart. Who knows what I'll be able to do to benefit that cause with my heart and soul behind my actions. Thank you for opening my eyes and my heart.

Look around you... If you have a real urge to work for a worthy cause, it can be found right in front of you everyday you go out your door. There are many who suffer and could have helping hand. A child who needs help with school, a shut in who needs a friend, the homeless person who needs help in more ways than just food or clothing. You could help someone get a job, not just tell them get a job, or help find housing. And when you really want to help, go out and help organize agencies and homeless people to obtain much needed funding. Thee is so much which needs to get done locally.

There's probably lots of worthy causes just on your doorstep. What about paying a sigle elderly lady or gentleman a visit once a week? Many suffer terribly from loneliness and a little bit of attention can make a big difference.

Helping the animals of our Country. The problem is that there is SO MUCH corruption that I personally would NEVER NEVER donate to anything and for that reason, there is NO way to help really except by adopting a pet and caring for it and in that way, you are helping. USO.. REd Cross, Safe the Children, etc are all horribly corrupt and out of every $1 you donate, the receiving end gets only about 5 cents.

I'd like to suggest that you consider Tapestry Against Polygamy. They are a group of women who were formerly invloved in polygamous "marriages" and who are now struggling to get other women out of this hell.

Here's their story:
