Yesterday, I was driving and just 10 meters ahead of me I witnessed a Land Cruiser crashing from the back a small car. The small one slipped across the road and the back was heavily banged that the metal was squashed.. but still I drove smoothly and didn't stop... tere were alot of cars behind me all of them stopped... when I just drove.. I am not feeling right now , what should I have done ? It's the first time it ever happens to me.

That's a very good question. The rule you might consider is to stop if you have any inkling you can do some good. If there are a number of people there and you don't possess any particular skills, do what you did. If, on the other hand, no one else seems to be stopping to lend a hand, stop if you can pull safely off the traveled way.

What is done, is past. If you believe that somebody was hurted, then you can offer your witness for the victim...but get ready to answer why didn't you stop in the right moment.
A middle point is to get information through a third person and see if the victim will fully recover or is just fine. Then promise to yourself to be more cooperative next time and just do it.
In the meantime be in peace with yourself.
We all have made mistakes of that kind or even worst.
Take it easy, or try to help without exposing yourself too much. After all trying to avoid being involved in problems is a pretty usual habit in these busy times.

Since you are certain that other cars stopped to address the situation you also can believe that it has been handled. You win by knowing that the problem was looked after and that you did not have to get involved.

You would be guilty if you were the only person who could resolve the issue and failed to do so. As it stands your action did not change the fate of the offending driver.

Minimally you could have recorded the licence plate number of the offending vehicle but as you witnessed others stopping, this was not necessary in this instance.

Well you can't go back in time now can you? So there really isn't any need to worry about it. In the future, you may want to stop to either offer first aid if needed, or be another witness as to what happened and whose fault it is.
I was in an accident in a major crowded intersection, after my car stopped spinning, everyone just drove off. I could have used a couple of those people to tell the police that it wasn't my fault, that the lady that hit me was on her cell phone and ran a red light. Because she was rich, and in a BMW, they believed her over me, and the ambulance treated her first.

I'm sorry to hear this....It happen to me once too and I didn't stop. I was someplace I should not have been and didn't want anyone to know. I just kept driving (I did call 911) but I didn't stop.
All the kids in the car died.... I wished I would have stopped just in case someone was still alive at the time they wouldn't have to die alone. I am not a religious freak or anything but I asked God for forgiveness and if this responsibility is ever before my eyes again I will do whatever I can. You need to forgive yourself and be more conscious of the opportunities put befor you. GOD is watching, and listening...talk to him. If you need to talk e-mail me.

You are supposed to stop, but it's ok, don't beat yourself up over it at this point. Next time you will remember to stop. If other cars were right behind you, chances are they saw the same accident, so there are enough witnesses, and I'm sure one of them was able to call the emergency people.

Live and learn, seems trite but it's true. I've done the same thing once in the past. I was just afraid of getting into trouble at work for being late so I just kept going myself. Still feel a bit like a heel for doing so but I can't go back and change it so I've learned my lesson and moved on. Learn, forgive yourself but don't forget.

Dont worry about. The next time though please stop. I was involved in a accident about 2 months ago and all the people that saw gave statements to the police but when they were asked their names they refused to give them. Therefore now we have to go to court because the other driver refuses to accept liability!

It already happened so dont worry about it cuz sometimes u are in shock so u dont think straight. Jus remember to help whenever the occasion rises!
