I am looking at volunteering in Louisiana, and possibly doing so through this organization, however I am not sure if it sits right with me. They had me fill out an application and everything but I was accepted to volunteer without ever having to talk to anyone. It just seems a little odd.

I have a ton of clothes that I would like to donate, normally I would take them to hospice or salvation army, where they are resold at a really low price. This time I would like to donate all of the nice clothes that don't fit my children anymore, but I would like them to go to someone who truly can't afford to by anything, including at thrift stores. Any ideas?

Thanks

How long do you think it will take to raise $1,000,000 dollars by asking the YAHOO! community to donate a $1 to my worthy experiment?

To find out, please donate $1 via PayPal to this account sales@housemediaonline.com

I'll talk about the experiment and how long it took on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

Thanks for your support!

Have you ever noticed that the poor and lower middle class seem to be more giving and generous with their time and contributions to those less fortunate than the more well off social classes?

No matter how much people donate, there will always be people starving. Why? Because those starving people never even see a penny of it. It's true. What good has donating money ever done? Hardly any.

We are in need of christmas help and I was told to check with area churches. I have contacted Chimes for Charity and they told me they were unable to help because, the last day of applications was 11/22. I contacted toys for tots and they told me they were unable to find an organization in my area in tennessee. My husband does work but, but works for us to have a roof over our heads. Anyone can contact me by email at caspck2@aol.com and the only reason that i have internet is because i am trying to get a college degree online. My internet is paid for by school. I have contacted churches and so far everyone has turned me away. My children are boys one is 2 and the other is 1 soon to be 2 in february? Any help would be greatly appreciated and any suggestions also. Thanks for taking the time to look at my question!!!!

I am a 21 year old single mother. I have a 4 year old son and 8 months pregnant. Me and my son's father were common law married. We had been together 6+ years, lived together 4 years. We are now sepperating, so me and my son are staying with family until we can get on our feet. Being 8 months pregnant doesnt make it easy to find work. What little I have are being consumed by all my pregancy expenses. It will be my sons first Christmas he doesnt get to spend with Mommy and Daddy. Some Christmas for a 4 year old :( Anyway, my reason for this post is a begging plea of any kind of help to brighten up his Christmas as much as possible. Any kind of help is more than I could ever thank you for. God Bless You

Hope you and your family have the Merriest Christmas
