Poor more giving than the rich?

Have you ever noticed that the poor and lower middle class seem to be more giving and generous with their time and contributions to those less fortunate than the more well off social classes?

Ya know, I'd rather be me, we know what it's like to go without, that's why when I volunteer my time, I always work harder, people with lots of money are GREEDY, you think they are going to give back anything ? You know in your heart that you're doing the "RIGHT THING" and, you can NEVER GO WRONG, BY DOING THE RIGHT THING ! More than once a stranger helped me who I can never thank, we've all had that in some way or another, I try to give help where I can, like taking a hungry person into a deli, and buying them something to eat.

Yes I have and years ago I learn-ed that the people of Newfoundland are in the poorest province of Canada, and are of the lowest income bracket in the nation. Yet per capita they are the most giving people in the nation!
Recently I have read a research article that studied who gives what and the reasons they give. One of the most interesting things to come out of the study is that: the more money one makes the more frightened they are of giving any of it away. They don't know for sure what the reasoning is for their fears, but they found that with an increase of financial status the more likely they are to keep it to themselves. Charity drops to a poor level.(no pun intended!)

yes i see that so much .seems like the ones with the less money are helping out so much more .even if we have to go into our cupboards and give the can food out of that we usally do .i pray things will change and everyone will help out more
