If I get my hair highlighted will I still be able to donate it to charity?

I am trying to grow my hair out to donate it. It is getting pretty long but I was thinking of highlighting it for the Christmas Season. Would I still be able to dontate it if I do?

From the Locks of Love website...

Hair may be colored or permed, but not bleached or chemically damaged (if unsure, ask your stylist).

My sister highlights her hair and she has donated to Locks of Love. Just make sure it's long enough.
