i think you have to be smart on how u talk or write messages so as to form the right tone you want the person to have.

hundreds of yrs ago people write letters, then decades later they use the phone now the net.

depends how sincere you think the person is. if the quality of the message sucks, then it's the writer's fault.

people may be using the net but at the same time give great thought to what they are typing if they reall care about you.

the personal touch depends on the sender, as it's his choice if he wants to choose to deliver a quality message or just a slip short one.

dont blame technology. blame the sender's attitude.

Of course, anything that seperates two people from seeing each other talk takes away the personality. I see a lot of people imagine the internet of doing the same but my name really is Marcus R., so I'm not hiding behind a monitor, I'm sitting in front of it. Like you are.

telephone can be personal but internet is NEVER. once you are connected to the internet, no communication is personal

Yes very much. Mobile connections can expose who and where from you talk. But it the best communication equipment available at present.
