I have a ton of clothes that I would like to donate, normally I would take them to hospice or salvation army, where they are resold at a really low price. This time I would like to donate all of the nice clothes that don't fit my children anymore, but I would like them to go to someone who truly can't afford to by anything, including at thrift stores. Any ideas?

Thanks

look for a local charity that specilases in mother and young chldren they are alway looking for donations for them to help once they have left a volatil place and need assistance, more offten that not they take more items such as bedding and any thing that can be used to set up a house with, as these women and children really have nothing but the cloithing on there backs when they leave,
you would find this info from ring a local shelter and asking

Try churches or the Salvation Army .Some churches have charities they support. Thrift shops are usually for people on low incomes.Sometimes you hear of things happening in the news like a family has lost all their gear in a fire and people donate directly to the family. It often happens here like that.

How about a church? Sometimes churches give clothes, food, and blankets to the homeless. Maybe there is one that does that in your area.
