What are you planning on doing for a new years resolution for 2008? I am going to plan on not being the friend who makes the obnoxious idiot that i know mad at me this year! I also would like to tell myself i will get up and jog and do crunches to work on my new years abs but that might be hoping for too much! What are you planning on, anything creative or tear jerking?

Okay I have to admit a few years ago I felt "close" with God but now I began to realize some things and I feel like it's not that I don't choose to believe, it's that I Can't believe in God. So I have some questions that can hopefully help me with this. Thanks

1) If God is so great how could he punish Adam and Eve so harshly for eating from the tree? He made them experience pain and took so much away. Isn't this a cruel thing to do?

2) How is homosexuality so bad? I know the bible is against it, but exactly why is it bad?

3) How could the bible support slavery and stoning and such awful things?

4) If God is "all-forgiving" why does he send all non-believers to hell? This sounds like an awful thing to do! And isn't it his fault in the first place for not convincing them of his existence during their lifetime?

So if you could answer these questions that would be great!

"Social butterfly" and "class clown" are the best I have, and they are definitely not good enough. I want something that means a person who does what ever it takes to be the center of attention, whether that's excel at sports or be a hypochondriac.

It is detailed in the bible that Jesus will return for a second coming. Has the world now came to a stage where it would be right for Jesus to come again.

My question to you is: My fashion teacher is a Mormon, i know that they can't drink caffine because thats against their religion, but I was wondering if you guys celebrated Christmas. If not, well let's say a person gave you a Christmas present as a thank you. Would you accept that or is that against you religion. I know this is a silly question, but I'm just wondering, I have a present to give to my teacher and don't know if thats okay.

My friends and I are starting an a cappella vocal group at our high school, and we need a name. I think a Latin name would sound very appropriate.

So, what would "Voices of Life" or "Voices of Light" be in Latin?

Also, if someone comes up with an idea for a name feel free to post the Latin/English translations!

Jesus is merly a plagerized religous figure, There were religous figures with the same Story before jesus was "born"
-- Born on the 25th from a virgin--- dead for 3 days -- and then resurrected,
theres hundreds of other religous figures with the same exact story that were invented before jesus was... And Christian Historians only answer it seems to be is "the devil did it"
Some christians say "god put those there to test our faith"
No I think he put you here to test my faith..

come from nothing? Give me one( in concrete) example?
If I had a box and I store it away for generations with 'nothing' in it..And each generation that passed would get that box out and check it ...Would it still be empty ? or would they find something beginning from nothing start to form?
I think for generations to come there would only be without a doubt 'nothing' in that box ....
So explain to me 'something from 'nothing' again?

I work with some real zingers! Often I have to deal with people that complain constantly that they have no money, some medical situation, blah, blah blah. I am so sick and tired of listening to their crap all day. Why can't they just shut up and do their job. How can I handle these crazies without becoming one of them.

I asked my grandmother (Christian belonging to a Church of Christ) to attend the Christmas cantata at my general Baptist church where I will be singing a solo and as part of the choir. I also asked her to watch my children perform in the children's program and to witness their baptism. She said she could not attend at all if it was during her church's regular service and that she would have to ask permission to go if it was at a time her church was not in service. Ask permission? Why would the Church of Christ require its members to ask permission to attend the baptism of grandchildren? Is there something I am missing, I actually began to worry about her when she said this. I am hoping someone can explain about this. I don't know much about the doctrine of this denomination.

Intelligent thought inevitably leads to atheism - pride has nothing to do with it, as far as I can tell. Agreed?
