I like a good scary movie. The scarier the better. lol. As for whether or not I like a happy ending or sad ending, it depends. It depends on whether the ending is appropriate for the story being told. I don't like cliche endings. I don't like endings that are unrealistic. I do love a good twist at the end, but only if they are able to pull it off so you feel like it fits. I don't like when they put a twist ending on a film just for the sake of having a twist at the end. A good twist ending should make you feel like it actually sums up the events from the film, and makes the film make *more* sense

I prefer the kind where the problems in the movie are solved in a good way. I do not like cliff hanger endings.

So, I do enjoy happy endings. There is enough sadness in the world already without seeing a movie with a terrible ending.

Ambiguous is one I never enjoy. I usually have to rent it and try to solve it myself. Example: I have watched "Close Encounters" at least 5 times and finally bought the video but was still confused. I always felt that the guy was really an alien himself and they came back to get him. I have been told that was wrong. Anyway......

Good point.

For me, it's got to be a happy ending.
I hate the type that leaves you asking, "Is that all there is?" Especially when an ending doesn't seem conclusive and you want more to wrap things up neatly. Rather than wonder how much more could have been added to make it more plausible or believable. I dislike many of the
movies on the cable network of Lifetime that end that way. For so many of their movies tend to end abruptly. And you think maybe they have taken a commercial break. And then find maybe as late as after the commercial, the credits are being flown rapidly up the screen. I don't know what type of
ending you'd categorize movies that end quickly or come
up short. But Lifetime sure shows plenty of them.

It has to be a feel good movie, maybe, just a tweenny, twinney, bit of mystery, ocasionally.

I have to read feel good books, too.

My granddaughter gave me a book, she thinks is a must read, so we can have a discussion about it. The name of the book is, Kindred, by Octavia E. Butler. Science Fiction.

I have read 29 pages and it has grabbed me.

I have never had nightmares and I'm worried this book might do that for me.

Didn't mean to get into books.

Good question and missed seeing your avatar.

One you didn't see coming. Most are so predictable.

I would like to NOT figure out who done it, will they live happily ever after, etc.

I would like to see a movie in which the girl doesn't say "be careful." As if he wouldn't, when he's going into a dangerous situation.

I don't want to hear "get the girl" or "let the girl go." How about a name or call her the woman or "her."

All of the above.....and the ones where we see good friends come back again. In other words, glad that the silhouette is gone and that the real Wick has returned!!! Hope all is straightened out now and that you don't have to go through all of that again.

I liked the "Hawgs" movie with John Travolta at the end when Peter Fonda came walking into the scene!! All the old hippies started hollering and clapping and the young kids didn't know who he was!! Very cool~~~

Well Wick, have watched Pretty Woman about 15 times, so I guess it would have to be a "happy ending". A star for you.

I like an ending that ties up all the ends and doesn't leave me feeling frustrated and hanging. Unless it is setting up a sequel, in which case it leaves me anticipating, and I like that. I do like a happy ending, or at least a satisfying one.Sometimes I like a thoughtprovoking one, which leaves me going "hmmm."
