I find the KJV very difficult to read. I like to think of myself as highly literate, but I admit to hitting a wall sometimes with the KJV. So I guess I can't be too literate ;).

I like reading The Message. Just wondering what others read, and just some general opinions.

Thanks.

There is no way I believe you’re a true atheist if you make it a point to answer a question directed to believers.

The last question I saw asked of believers had the first 3 answers from so-called ‘atheists’.

If you REALLY thought there was no God, you would consider us Christians as delusional!

And if we are deranged, why are there so many of us with the EXACT same psychosis; millions of people all over the world with the exact detailed delusion?? What are the odds?

Just how many psychotic people do you routinely argue with? Why do you argue with us if you think we’re deranged?
Why would you argue with someone you consider a babbling idiot?

Question:
Who are you trying to convince? Us………….or yourselves???

If not, what is the purpose of a Pope? If Jesus died on the Cross for our sins, now we don't need a "In between". Doesn't Hebrews 10:19 claim that, "Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the Holiest by the blood of Jesus?" It doesn't say through the Pope. And isn't Jesus the only one who can forgive sins? Not the Priests, or Biships, or Cardnials, or the Pope? Just asking. :)

Seriously I am tired of the constant { pardon the pun } bitching about how men treat women as second class citizens . In most cases the laws actually give women more rights and privileges than men why would they want equality ? And they don't have to worry about being dragged off the street to fight on the front lines of Georges dirty little war ! maybe they make a slightly lower wage on some professional jobs but they also get benefits and extra priviledges not granted males I think it balances out . Lets answer this from a religious and non-religious point of view !

Do you know FOR SURE God exist/doesn't exist... or it is just your intuition that tells you so?

If your answer is yes, can you please explain?
Thank you.

From a Christian point of view, should wives submit to their husbands? At the top of your answer, just give me a simple "yes" or a "no", and add details at the bottom. Scripture quoting is encouraged.

I'm looking into Buddhist/Christian teachings, and I'm not sure where/what to look for. I like the Christian faith as far as accepting and worshipping Christ as my savior, but I'm not very comfortable in churches (and I've tried many different ones) I also like the fact that Buddha's teachings don't reject homosexuals. Can anyone point me towards some books or websites that share info about what I'm looking for?

Has anybody got burned on this before? My story is we all had a secret santa agreement at work, and it was agreed that the gift limit was not to fall below $25.00. Well I got MY secret santa a decent gift which is a Victoria's Secret perfume worth within range and she loved it. The person that had me, decided to give me a stuffed cat. Yes, a stuffed cat the ones that you could win in a Carnival. I was so disappointed and had thoughts like wtf? This person didn't even put a lot of effort in it. To be honest with you, I think it was something that sat in her basement collecting dust. And on an added note I am not a cat lover, nor a pet afficionado. What the heck????????????????

when I searched for God I asked if his name was Jesus, he said my name is not Jesus and you do not know my name. Then he showed me Acts 17:23, and Revelation 19:11-12. Also Proverbs 30:1-4...but many argue on how I see this verse.

is that weird? He showed me the son lives in proverbs, but he said HIS name was not Jesus...........
