There is no way I believe you’re a true atheist if you make it a point to answer a question directed to believers.
The last question I saw asked of believers had the first 3 answers from so-called ‘atheists’.
If you REALLY thought there was no God, you would consider us Christians as delusional!
And if we are deranged, why are there so many of us with the EXACT same psychosis; millions of people all over the world with the exact detailed delusion?? What are the odds?
Just how many psychotic people do you routinely argue with? Why do you argue with us if you think we’re deranged?
Why would you argue with someone you consider a babbling idiot?
Question:
Who are you trying to convince? Us………….or yourselves???

HiHey:
how is it forcing our beliefs on you when we are talking amongst ourselves?

I feel your frustration Molly. It makes me so angry to be talked down to by atheists as if I am a four-year-old and they know better because they are intellectually superior.
What I find interesting was the fact that the atheists who answered this still did it with a condescending and rude tone. You would think that more than one of them would say something kind or polite like, "We don't think you are delusional, but we believe differently and feel very strongly about our beliefs and so the discussion gets heated." Because, you know, they are always deriding believers for not being more polite or kind (or logical) in their answers, and maybe they would take this chance to "be a good example" for us weak-minded sheep and show us how to post like a grown up.
But no - they just post with the usual attitude I see from far too many atheists on R/S. And yet, somehow, it is us Christians who are the arrogant ones. Weird, very weird. Kudos for even bothering to post this, knowing that they would flame you for it.

Don't be so hard on yourself. Yes, you are delusional, but even I was delusional once. How is it, you ask, that so many people believe in a "god" that doesn't exist? Simply because the majority of people are indoctrinated into the religion of their parents at a very young age. I know I was. And I believed without question. For a good 25 years or more. I even got a degree in Theology.
That is why the majority of Americans are Christians and the majority of middle easterners are Muslim. Children inherit the religion of their parents. Without this, religion would not exist and no one would believe in God. Consider feral children, those brought up without any contact with other humans. They have absolutely no concept of "God" at all. None. You act as if the world's population just spontaneously started believing in God at once.
For a short time after college I became a minister. Now I'm here on Yahoo! Answers to spread the Good News that God is fake. Why is this so important? Because we live in a world where decisions are made daily based upon a belief in an imaginary being. Some of these decision affect everyone regardless of religious belief. Wars are fought. People are killed. And knowledge and scientific advancement is impeded.
Like a psychologist treating a patient with psychosis, I want you to know the truth. Sometimes my posts are informative (I'm a stockpile of Biblical knowledge). Sometimes my posts are humorous. And sometimes my posts are sarcastic. But they all point toward an obvious truth. God is not real. And I want you and everyone else to realize this.
Why should it matter that God isn't real? Because this life is the only life you have. There is no heaven. There is no hell. If you die waging jihad there are no virgins waiting for you. If you start a nuclear war it will not summon Jesus to return in the clouds. Once you die, you die. And that's the end. Period.
Christianity is all about repressing natural instincts. Think of something that you absolutely love to do. For me, we'll say eating pizza. Now what if I spent my entire life NOT eating pizza because I believed that if I did, I would spend eternity being burned alive by an imaginary being who allegedly "loves me." What would you call that? I would call that a wasted life.
My life has been saved from the snares of asceticism of Christianity's imaginary god. And now I want to save yours.

"millions of people all over the world with the exact detailed delusion"? not quite. ask 100 christians to describe their faith and you will get 100 different answers, as faith is a very personal thing. the only thing christians have in common is belief in jesus as a savior. you guys can't even agree on the bible, what version is "correct", or which way to interpret it. i do think you are delusional, but i don't think all christians are as deranged as you are.

I do not consider christians delusional because im not that judgemental as you mite be towards athiests. most christians believe in god because of how they were raised, church, and other outside opinions. So i consider it a biased opinion when people are given just one option for living life.
As for arguing with a so called babbling idiot, i answer because they have asked for my opinion, idiot or not.

Christians or theists are not delusional but, perhaps, deluded, which is not the same condition. Believers in any faith are taught that their religion is true and accept what they have learned. You are not suffering from identical psychoses but from similar conditioning. Nor are you "babbling idiots". Those who are nontheists might consider you to be immature intellectually and, thus, in need of further instruction in an alternative theory.

Why are you being so nasty and mean and directing this bashing question against the "Atheist"?
You are aware that most of the individuals of which you are speaking about, probably have more religious knowledge then you may ever hope to obtain.
The tone of this question, proves to me that you yourself have a low tolerance and acceptance of others.
Are you a Church Organized Christian or just another R?S Troll?

OK, perhaps I am a little confused. I thought atheist meant that we don't believe in god, but in your question, you put three answers to a diff question. Atheists would not answer that way, only believers would.
If I am mistaken and if the answers that you said wasn't really the answers, then please post the link.

Sister Molly,
Do not let them get to you! It is very difficult to discern the spirits here, sincere questions are few and far between, even more distant are heart felt answers. Even more subtlety dangerous are the ones here that are blind guides and wolfs!

Is this an example of good teaching?
As a Christian, we are to teach all nations, not convert everyone. When a Christian encounters disbelief, s/he simply moves on.
Answer: If you calling yourself a Christian, you need to follow Christ.
