I am sure that God exists and in trying to explain why I quote the words of Paul in addressing a Greek audience in Athens in terms they could understand: "for in Him we live and move and have our being". I am conscience of Him ever with me and when I do anything which interrupts my relationship with Him, I feel disturbed and ill at ease until I have asked for forgiveness and returned to Him. This is different from my relationship with things or people. I can have a favourite author whose works I do not read for years. I can have friends from whom for a number of reasons I drift apart (something I find hard to come to terms with, but this can happen) and I can live without them. But I can't live without God, Who is ever there, showing His love and kindness to me and wanting me to draw near to Him. When I was small, I simply accepted that He existed in the way children do. It was when I was older that He became real to me, that I came to know Him as a person. When you speak of intuition, I begin to wonder why belief seems to come more easily to women than men. I think that this is because a woman finds it easier to let go of her pride and independence and accept that she needs the saving grace of God.

Yes, they are. I am not a believer so if we are talking about God existence.. it doesn't really apply to me. I think that not believing on something(whatever) doesn't require intuition; it's the option that is built into us by default.
See ya!

yes i know god is real, mainly because faith is what gets me through all the **** in my life. i think it isnt neccesarily whether you believe in god or not. i think it all has to do with believing in yourself. and believing that things happen for a reason even if you dont understand why. intuition is also a big part of my way of thinking but thats probably because most people know right from wrong and ac accordingly. sorry this is vague but i dont like to be a thumper either.

Speaking sociologically, i think its more intuition. Science to me is fact, and when you can prove empirically that god exists then it is a fact, not a belief. Beliefs such as the existence of God brings order to society.

Inspiration.
If you only knew what it was like to be inspired by God. As in: the scriptures were inspired by God. The same Spirit that inspired the scriptures inspired me. Long before I finally started trusting God, He was with me. And I knew it at 7 or 8 years old. I was 24 by the time I finally did it.
If you want more to the story, my testimony is here:

Your seems like an honest question...something not often found here on R & S .
Of course the Bible is not the only proof of God's existence! Just open your eyes and take a look at creation all around you.....Do you think all this just happened?
The awesome beauty of Creation is a wonderful expression of God's love....yet some still choose to ignore it...
However, for those of us who know and talk to God daily we have experiential proof He exists....everything from answered prayers to peace of mind....you name it ; we have allowed His Holy Spirit to come into us....and we hear His voice daily AND see the wonderful results of His intervention in our lives.
You cannot intrude into that type of evidence however until you act on God's Word and let Him into your life through faith in Jesus Christ.
That type of experiential proof is reserved for those who put their trust in Christ

Intuition is my basis for believing in a power greater than myself.
I don't know for sure how to define or explain it.
Just a feeling.

Mine are because I read many religious theories and I pick what I like out of all of them. So I use my intuition to decide what is right for me.

we don't know anything.
we have to rely on our intuition and own beliefs.. i mean, nothing is for sure in this world. i do believe that God exist, not because religion tells us so. i do because... i don't know, i just feel it.

I think you mean "Beliefs".
There is ZERO knowledge of God, just faith.
Go back before Christ and ask the same question to the Romans and they would tell you how much they believe in "The Gods".
God was invented to get rid of fear.
